In the South, talking about food is personal. It’s a way of sharing a part of your history, your family, your culture, and yourself. Each week, Sid Evans, Editor in Chief of Southern Living, will sit down with celebrity musicians to hear stories of how they grew up, what inspired them, and how they’ve been shaped by Southern culture. Sid will take us back to some of their most cherished memories and traditions, the family meals they still think about, and their favorite places to eat on the road. Traditional does not mean stuffy in the home of Southern Living test kitchen pro Ivy Odom. This Georgia-bred millennial can fish, throw a mean SEC tailgate, and even knows her way around a pigsty. In each episode, Ivy shares stories, customs, and recipes from growing up in the Deep South but always adds her own modern spin.

Home-obsessed Betsy keeps it real whether she’s doling out opinions on Tyler Perry’s Atlanta mansion or exploring Southern estates.

In 1966, Southern Living was created to highlight the beauty and culture of the growing South. 1. I like Amy…but she is flawed as only wealthy celebrities can be. She has lost touch with her roots.

  2. Sorry but not sorry you have failed your followers with your new outlook on the gay life style! I don’t care if it’s family or not, it’s an abomination in the eyes of the Lord. Go back and read your Bible Amy!

  3. No, Jesus would not approve of same-sex marriage. He taught about marriage being between a man and a woman, never anything else. You just can’t read into his words a pro-homosexual interpretation.
