I rent, so I’m planting my asparagus crowns in a large 45 gallon tree pot with well draining soil.
But eventually they will need to be planted in ground and hopefully at that point we will have our forever home!
It may not seem worth it to plant something that you wont be able to harvest for 2 to 3 years. But asparagus are one of the lowest maintenance perennials that exist!
Plus, homegrown asparagus cannot compare to store bought.
Now what are you waiting for?! Go get you some crowns!
