  1. Hey Janey! I think only "cut & come again" flowers are a great idea for that space! I have to say though, for the gomphrena, you may want to space them more than the packet says. (Or plant less plants) For cut flowers we can usually space things closer, but for gomphrena- it's so productive, NO ONE I know can keep up with harvesting it enough to keep it small enough ๐Ÿคฃ so mine always get about 3 1/2 foot tall, & 2-3 foot wide.

  2. Good morning Janey ๐ŸŒบ a very beautiful collection of seeds of cut flowers they willl grow well for you .I can't wait to see the tree beds full of blooms. Have anice day ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒป

  3. I can't wait to see your garden grow, your so inspiring. I just love your channel. I also love your Amazon store. I just bought some more products!!

  4. I like those seed starting cells! Iโ€™ll have to give them a try. Excited to see your cut garden in the Spring! ๐ŸŒป M

  5. Hi Janey, you must use dahlias if you can! They were the only cut and come again that were able to stand up to the horrible heat I had last year. The zinnia were pretty for awhile and great for pollinators but they will eventually succumb to disease. The sunflowers were actually really successful too but they had to be pulled because I had hundreds of bees and wasps invading my yard to get to them. This was way beyond any normal wasp and bee activity. It made me too nervous because my kids play out there.

  6. Hey Janey! Great tips! Love the tip from floret to drop the seed cell to reduce air holes. I will be doing that from now on. I'm always afraid I pack too much or too little when using my fingers. I'm getting started with seed starting now too. Really helpful to see your notes. Bootstrap Farmer has some great seed starting supplies. They are a little more expensive on the front end, but a great investment, great quality! They have lots of fun colors! Thank you for creating the Amazon shop. I'm ordering the dirt bin potting tray from there today. Have a great week! You're AWESOME! Ashley, Weatherford, Texas Zone 7b

  7. Great idea, cut and come again. It's still way early for me to sow flowers, guess I could try winter sowing again, no luck with that tho. I'm going to get a jump on veg, sowing those this week, looking forward to early tomatoes. Thinking also about forcing some branches this week.

  8. Hi Janey- Iโ€™m wondering if you have any insight with using a hydrogen peroxide solution mix to help with algae growth also. Came across a couple videos on it recently. Looking wonderful up there!

  9. How cool I love the epic gardening channel too! He makes veggie gardening look so easy! Between watching you both youโ€™d think Iโ€™d have a better garden ๐Ÿคฃ however my indoor houseplant โ€œgardenโ€ is growing and thriving! Lol

  10. I am excited to see all the blooms you are going to get. I do zinnias also and usually have to do a second crop about mid summer. They tend to get power mildew about the end of August. Are you planning to have some greenery to cut from. I was a florist and most people forget the greenery which is the bones of your arrangement. I hope you have a great day.

  11. Hey Janey. Will you be making some kind of path up the middle of the three beds to be able to cut the center plants?

  12. I use an old spice jar to distribute the vermiculite on the cells. Instructional video, thanks!

  13. Hi Janey, I am new to gardening and I love you instructive videos. They are so very helpful! Do you leave them under grow lights for 24 hours a day until they sprout? Thank you Janey

  14. Hi new to following you Janey and find your channel exciting and something attainable. Your suggestions about every month video or take photos your front and back garden to see the progress, and what works is an excellent idea. Iโ€™m in the process of doing my side garden and those flower choices I think will create the feel Iโ€™m looking for. Thanks for the suggestion

  15. I bought some of those cell trays this year too, genius idea in my opinion. I just sowed 48 6-cell trays last weekend and I already have some popping up, specifically my rudbechias and my hollyhocks! Canโ€™t wait!

  16. I have the Epic Gardening 6 cells and 4 cells. This will be my second year using them. They are so nice and will last forever.

  17. Hi Janey,
Great idea to create a Cut and Come Again garden! How many seeds did you sow in each cell? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜Š

  18. Why was the germination rate so low on some of those seeds? I thought seeds had to have a 90% germ. rate to be put on the market?

  19. Zinnias are my favorite I plant them all over our yard there awesome๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ We buy them by the pounds we plant so many.

  20. I use Rubbermaid containers when I moisten my soil/seed starting mix they're big and give me silent of room to get in there and get it all mixed up

  21. Hi Janey! I was wondering, with your climate, do you direct sow Zinnias. I direct sow Zinnias, and Sunflowers. I also do my Cosmo's the same. Have a good day!

  22. Iโ€™ve collected a ton of zinnia seeds from heads last year., I still have tons of heads available., and next season Iโ€™m planting a row of them. All of them. So a ton of zinniaโ€™s and different cosmos. I have a few different varieties and Iโ€™m growing them in rows. As for branching sunflowers., try the African sunflowers., theyโ€™re a beautiful big red, daisy-like branching flower. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป I have loads of success with them and Iโ€™m wayyy up here in zone 4b. Full sun!

  23. i typically use perlite for seed starts if I need to cover starts, and vermiculite goes in the square foot garden lol

  24. Iโ€™m dying to try lisianthus! My favorite flower. Which is so hard to come by because how hard it can be to get them started. I donโ€™t think you mentioned it in the video, will you be doing lisianthus?
