The Portland Trail Blazers scored 34 points in the first half of an NBA game in 2023. They lost. That’s kinda just how that’s going to work.
9:43 – It was another frustrating loss against a good team. The Trail Blazers let the Philadelphia 76ers dictate the game, fell in a huge hole and then hopelessly tried to dig out of it with a competent second half performance. Too little. Too late. It’s right to be miffed at the way they played. It was bad.
20:43 – The show is fun at the end I swear stick with me or skip ahead whatever you need to do. Josh Hart has been complaining about the weather in Portland and what to do on the endless rainy days in the Rose City. Well, Josh I got some ideas for your buddy. Real ones.

Josh is probably bored because the Blazers insist on playing him out of position in the starting lineup, where he's asked to be our number 2 rebounder and only gets offensive opportunities in transition. How many open shots do we have to see this guy pass up, because he's the 4th/5th option? Let the guy come off the bench, QB the offense and green light him. Boredom solved.
Its shocking to me that a team with Harden and Tobias starting is a better Defensive team than Offensive. Blazers need to study philly's formula. They give some pretty awful defenders a lot of run, like Montrez And Naji. No excuse for why portland can't emulate that. We have long, athletic wings too. It's a coaching schism imo. On one end you have a coach with real pedigree, experience and prestige who has designed a system that hides his best players flaws, and on the other end you have a rookie coach who is forcing his players to do shit they don't have the capacity to do no matter how poorly it goes.
We are still playing grant out of position on defense, we are still running no ball playmaking in the second unit with Ant/Grant/Sharpe/Eubanks and Little. We are still barely running PNR. We are still making Ant initiate the offense instead of getting him off ball and playing to his catch and shoot strengths, we are still coming out flat every game/halftime break (which is uniquely a coaching issue almost exclusively). We still overhelp and rotate slowly. Guys still don't know where they should be on defense any given night. We are still running an offense of "pass around the 3 pt line for 15 seconds and generate nothing". We are still not getting out in transition when we are the best transition offense in the league. We are still freezing grant out of the offense entirely when ant has the ball.
Last night was embarrassing. Where is the urgency. Where is the pride. This year is so frustrating because I still feel like we actually do have the talent to compete with anyone. When are we going to believe that and play at that level. We are playing so far under our ability.
Seems they are banging and bumping more in games they win or at least are staying in, likely resulting in more fouls in those games (don't know). Last night: 76rs = 23, Blazers = 15.
This roster is much better than its performance, it looks like the players have quit on the coach, or the coach can't make adjustments to what the opposition is presenting; either way, it doesn't look too good for the coach. Reminds me of the McMillan Era, such a waste of talent.

Hey Mike…heads up…I'm disabled and had my caregiver drive up to Walmart on 82ND and Holgate to pick up some Built bars, they told her they have to be ordered online. Not sure if you were aware but not only was it a little bit of a wasted trip, but I don't think I can use my EBT card online.
