How to Identify Chickweed:

Leaves: Chickweed has small, smooth, and glossy leaves that are arranged opposite each other on the stem. They are oval or oblong in shape and have a pointed tip.

Stems: The stems of chickweed are thin and delicate, usually growing to about 6-8 inches in length. They are green or reddish in color and may be slightly hairy.

Flowers: Chickweed has small, white, five-petaled flowers that are about ¼ inch in diameter. They grow in clusters at the tips of the stems and have a yellow center.

Seeds: Chickweed produces small, round seeds that are slightly flattened. They are dark brown or black in color and are about 1/16 inch in diameter.

Habitat: Chickweed can be found growing in a variety of habitats, including gardens, lawns, fields, and along roadsides. It is a common weed and can be found in many parts of the world.
