In this one minute video, we’ll show you how to grow onions in a container. You’ll need to start by selecting a container that is at least 12 inches deep and wide. Fill it with a mix of soil and compost, and create mounds or hills to plant the onions. Plant the onion sets about an inch deep, with the pointed end up. Water the soil until it’s moist, and then water the onions every few days. Place the container in a spot that gets at least 6 hours of sunlight each day. As the onions grow, thin them out by removing some of the smaller onions until the remaining onions are about 3 inches apart. With the right care, you’ll have a bumper crop of onions in no time!
