  1. I am so encouraged by this video!! It's 65F outside and it's not even noon, but we will have a couple of nights at freezing temps (32F or below) this week. I can plant my seeds in cardboard containers (the kinds that are used to pack larger, fragile items) and next week I can plant them in the raised bed or any other container. By the time the weather decides to trick us (in zone 8A), I will have had enough time to make some kind of hooped covers to have ready if that should happen. What do you think, Sir? Thank you, again, for the wonderful content and sincere excitement you exude.

  2. I had bad luck with loo rolls molding over very quickly in my small greenhouse (even with a fan), but it does get very toasty in there.

  3. That was a timely video to get us thinking about gardening in the brighter days to come. I enjoy watching your videos, it's one of the most wholesome places on YouTube

  4. I think this video will be rewatched over and over again over the next few days for so many amateur gardener like myself thank you !

  5. I have a lemon seed growing it is been indoors for three months about 1.1/2 to 2ft high do I trim it before I put in garden pot

  6. Whaddaya mean I MUST sow my seeds when you say? NOBODY tells me when to sow my seeds! I got LIBERTY and FREEDOM to sow whenever I want!

  7. Your garden videos are both super helpful and fun ! You are a both a fun and practical teacher. I appreciate you also including what to do or not do in a cold climate , like mine where the ground is still frozen . Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us !

  8. i would like the plant list in the description. "plant these things…" is clickbait. in minnesota, florida, or cancun?

  9. Question, these days, the soil that is found at our stores here are full of bark and branches and not good in my opinion. What combination of soil do you recommend for veggies? I tried zoo-poo mixed but I was not successful much due to the soil becoming hard and me having to constantly break it up. Thank you.

  10. When you start seeds in toilet paper tubes, do you remove the soil plug to plant in the bed or plant them with the tube? I know the cardboard will break down in the soil, but does it happen quickly enough so that lateral root growth isn't hindered? Thank you!

  11. My last frost date is May 15 so anything that needs to be started 6 weeks early will not be going in the pots until later…but I love your suggestions! I have started sweet potatoes for slips and am anxiously awaiting some seeding mats. I used a very small mat last year, compared the results to a tray without a mat, and it did seem to make quite a difference. I've ordered 2 more for this year.

I did a quick inventory and found that all but one of my subscribed gardening channels are from UK content producers like you! I use the paper rolls almost exclusively, and learned that trick from — you guessed it! — a British gardener! This year, I will give the newspaper kind a go. I first learned about no dig gardening from a Brit, too.

I just love your green house and have that on my wish list, but it will be some time before that becomes a reality.

  12. You've got some great looking "goodies" in your greenhouse. You are a great inspiration to keep my hopes afloat during this
bitter cold month of February. I have lots of things planned for early spring. Cheerio, my good friend👍

  13. I've been physically ill for month I have bulbs that I was meant to plant out in Oct November (crocuses iris daffodils tulips) can I still plant them out??? I know its soo late but last 4 months I've been very very ill and the weather has been rain and snow.
