I have not been to successfully growing sweet potatoes in containers so going to give a try at them in the ground. Using all materials I have to prep a bed for them. I have an open compost bin where I make my own compost. I bag when I mow to save all grass and leaves. I also chop n drop. I throw nothing away and buy nothing. I have a nice supply of oak leaves so I use them instead of wood chips.
