  1. I love your videos! Off topic question – I'm moving in a few weeks – here in NY as well! and I was wondering if you have any tips for moving plants in colder months? Thanks so much!

  2. Omg. These are the only thing I’ve ever struggled with. I HATE THEM!! WHAT IS THEIR PURPOSE ON THIS EARTH?!?! Omg! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
    Thank you for this!!!

  3. You’re the reason my plant addiction is the addiction it is and I love it… and honestly I think so does my husband!~❤

  4. You should soak your q-tip with rubbing alcohol before wiping off the mealy bugs. Works like a charm!

  5. Around 10:50 you switched from organic pesticides to chemical fertilizers instead of chemical pesticides. I promote organic for both. My mom has a mealy bug problem in her cactuses and luckily it hasnt spread.. She has a ton of plants! 💗

  6. Fungus gnats fungus gnats fungus gnats…yes I needed to say it 3 times. These buggers are the bain of my plant life

  7. I gave up on organic insecticides. I get Bioadvanced houseplant insect & mite control from home depot and never have those pesky gnats anymore!!! 🙌🏻

  8. I soak q tips and paper towels for the easy to reach mealy bugs, then get a sprayer for an isopropyl alcohol bottle and spray the whole plant. You can also add Alcohol to your neem oil mixture.

  9. "Life can be really nice if you just open yourself up to it." Thank you, this was really inspiring.

  10. I so love watching your videos. Every time one ends I wish there were another one. Thank you! It's like sitting with a friend and talking about plants.

  11. Don't want to get those mealy bugs in the mood, lol.😂 Always glad to see your videos pop up on my feed 🥰

  12. Many thanks for sharing your tips on fighting mealy bugs! Interesting to watch. If I can find a better way of taking care of my plants, I’m in! Love your channel! 👌🪴🥰

  13. If you don't want to keep killing and buying the same plants again like Amanda has admitted to doing. Treat your plants with proven products, yes you can try organic products, but most are basically a band-aid not a real treatment. Use Captain Jack's Dead Bug spray as directed, and apply Systemic granules as directed to stop them from coming back. Also use fertilizer year round to stop pest inventions from weak plants. ….

P.s. most plants, especially Hoyas do not want to be bone dry , it causes the roots to dry rot, even more so in tiny pots.

  14. I've never really had success with getting rid of mealybugs, quite a few of my plants died. But as I can see I never really tried hard enough. Thank you for your advice!

  17. Oh Amanda, thanks so much for these tips, I really hate those stupid mealy bugs, and I have been dealing with them for the last month, I have never had them before and this last December was the first time I have ever gotten them, and I will just keep treating them every week like you suggested. I will just hope that they 3will finally go away, they are getting better but still a few of them on my Hoyas. I hope that you have a great weekend coming up, sending love and hugs, bye! 🥰👍👋💜💞🪴🌱🍂

  18. The only thing that's worked for me is a mixture of pyrethrum and white oil. Hit it hard then repeat a week later. Not a mealy bug in a year. 🤞
