  1. I'm doing my pantry challenge a little differently. I WASTE so much food it's not even funny. Matter of fact it's disgraceful so I decided to do the challenge using what's in my fridge and only going out to eat once a week(we go out to eat at least 2-3 days a week) to use up what we have and throw nothing out. Because we were going out to eat so much we weren't using the fridge items and end up throwing it away at the end of the week. So far we have done so well and we managed to save a lot of money at the end of the week one.

  2. Dear Friend there is not a lazy bone in your body. Thanks for the inspiration. You have so much knowledge, thank you for sharing what you have learned.

  3. I love carrots but never knew what to make with them once canned. I will definitely be adding the carrot souffle to my meal plan. Thank you

  4. Jessica, you did me a favor today because when I watched this video, I saw you make that casserole using tortilla shells, rice, pizza sauce, etc.

My son had said to me earlier today that I needed to find some recipes to use up the frozen chicken patties that I had accidentally ordered 3 bags because he was tired of chicken sandwiches.

I took your idea and layered the shells, pizza sauce, cream of corn, shredded cheddar cheese, the chicken patties and taco rice and baked it and it was a hit. Thanks!!!

  5. Thank you Jessica for the pantry challenge. I learned of the challenge from Mary’s Nest YouTube channel and so happy to have found you. I’m really enjoying this. ☺️👍🏼 I plan to try one of your pie recipes. Will let you know how it turns out. 🥧

  6. I cooked along with you while I watched this video. I made a grocery trip last week for some birthday taco bar ingredients and many people didn't make it so we had a ton left. I cooked up a big batch of spanish rice to use alongside the leftover refried beans, meat, cheese and veggies to make some filling grab and go burritos for my husband to take for lunches and to warm up myself when I don't feel like cooking lunch.
Regarding your angelfood cake, I have found that frozen egg whites don't whip quite the same as fresh room temp ones. I typically have to whip them a lot longer and it's still not quite the same volume but works out in the end. This may have been the same situation with your whites as well.

  7. I love carrot souffle; thank you for reminding me to make this. Your meals are delicious and take so much planning. Your dedication to your family is admirable. My husband and I love seeing the youngest little boy eat. he loves your food! Lee

  8. U r a Saint!! Love watching your videos as interesting & u make viewers feel as welcome guest. Thx & I get so many tips & meals from
    U.

  9. I love your explanation about picky eaters! I have 4 kids. We do the same thing in our house. They have to try what I serve them, if they don't like it, they don't have to eat it, but that's it for that meal! It drives my MIL nuts that they go to bed "starving" (Her words, not mine), but we all know, they wont starve and most times, as my kids gets older they realize if they're hungry, they'll eat it. Love that you do the same thing!

  10. At the 13:44 mark I see the chicken meat in the soup and I thought to myself that must be homegrown chicken in that bowl because it really resembles my canned chicken from our own chickens. I could be wrong of course. Looks delicious.

  11. That chicken pot pie was the most beautiful thing I've seen in a long time. It shows love and family and rustic farm beauty. I hope one day to make a meal that amazing one day💕

  12. You are by far not lazy, I love that you feed your beautiful family good nutritious meals. I admire you, God bless

  13. I really love how your children just come and help with the cooking and watching Hana!! As far as how food doesn't look magazine worthy We having a kind of attitude as long as taste good we don't care what food looks like!! Because when comes out ain't pretty!! Sorry if sounds to crude!!

  14. First time watcher, enjoyed and look forward to watching additional video’s.
I do agree with you, food didn’t look appetizing and the lighting may play into that.
Many blessings to you and your beautiful family ❤

  15. I hope you see this message. I noticed that little Hannah was looking off to the right in the shots of her. My son had a similar disposition as a newborn and the doctor diagnosed him with torticollis, which is a muscular issue that can be easily remidied with physical therapy. Please check little Hannah for this. I noticed that my son really didn't like nursing on one side and my concern for him stemmed from there. I hope this finds you well.

  16. I finally had a chance to watch this today. I don't know how anyone could criticize your food. I'm willing to bet they don't serve three home cooked meals a day! Why do people try to bring others down instead of lifting and supporting? They must feel bad inside and need to try to make someone else feel bad. You work so hard to provide beautiful, nutritious, delicious meals filled with love. Your kids will always remember a childhood filled with food and love. And you don't have a lazy bone in your body! You amaze me as always Jessica. <3

  17. Oh what a beautiful video! I can’t say enough how beautiful it is to see you letting your kids bake, experimenting in kitchen. Plus chores, and family help. You know, many don’t understand how well rounded your family is!! I believe it’s missing in many homes these days. I say In love way. Not being mean..
God Bless your family ❤ and rest up as you can. Thank you for your videos!! I love how you describe your experience with meals, your right it’s getting eaten 😂❤

  18. Chapeau Jessica ,you look so good .! many Greetings from maja in the Netherlands ,greetings from the kids bay bay.

  19. You make me long for the days when my children were young, we homeschooled and lived in the country and life was simple and sweet!

  20. Personally I think your meals look just fine! Healthy, colourful, nutritious, variety … fabulous! What a great family. If I let myself, I could be envious! But we each get what we're given and God knows best in spite of our best efforts to change His mind!!! 😉 x

  21. It brought me so much giddy joy to see your calzone idea. Such special memories and so fun for the kids. I'll have to do that with mine once our oven is fixed.

  22. Honestly the instant pot ( in my opinion ) isn't all it is cracked up to be. I used a crock pot for years and this year decided to take the plunge on the instant pot ( as my crock pot kicked the bucket ) I am actually thinking of reselling the instant pot and going to back to a crock pot. Just and FYI 😉

  23. I love your videos! Especially the pantry challenge! You inspire me❤. My goal d to use all the resources that God has given me, so important!

  24. Jessica, I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely adore your family. Thank you so much for being here and using the space for educating us moms who inspired to be just like you one day. I’ve been taking a social media fast, so I was definitely missing seeing your videos. I completely spaced and forgot that I could just come on YouTube and see you. I will also be participating in the pantry challenge.❤ I hope your beautiful little girl is doing well as well as the whole family.

  25. I love to tell people that the cherry orchard in Hope's Table cookbook is my inlaws. 😄

  26. I took a long time to join the instant pot wagon, and I still don’t use mine often. I use it to make hard boiled eggs and bone broth on a weekly basis, and I have one recipe for Pad Thai that I make in it. That’s it.

  27. I am making my attempt at the Challenge, although this is my first year preserving in a new state (Alabama, it was difficult to source all I needed in six months here.) I learn so much from you, Jessica. We make fun of my breakfasts because I've never made a pretty omelette EVER, but they taste great.

  28. What a great way to mark their food. Just another way you show your kids how special they are. What a great momma!!

  29. Hello, I’m fairly new to your channel and I have observed two things. First one is that you eat off of paper plates – is that correct? If so why do you do that please? Second observation is that your beautiful children eat everything that you put in front of them. Amazing, I guess if you set out with expectations when they are really young they grow up eating things that my children would have turned their nose up at. I am filled with admiration for all the work that you do whilst caring and nurturing all of your offspring. Keep up the good work and good luck on the pantry challenge.

  30. Hi Jessica I don’t have a YouTube channel but I’m doing the pantry challenge with you I garden I raise my animals I also can and preserve all my food I also freeze dry my food my freezers are full also my pantry I need to use all this food best way to do that is a pantry challenge thank you so much to inspired me and all the other viewers you are an awesome mom and a awesome women God bless you and your family ❤

  31. Wow, I would love to be able to do this for my family! Thank you for sharing! I am so inspired to try to learn. How did you learn so much knowledge? Did someone teach you? Or did you learn by doing/teach yourself? Thank you!
