  1. I absolutely love your video’s. And you have jokes! “It’s like weeding but it’s Mushrooming”.

  2. So glad you took cover in your home for the storm. My garden shed by my garden was struck by lighting this last August (thank goodness in the middle of the night). It struck the metal around the window. Melted the aluminum window frame, fused the aluminum door to metal fencing I had inside. It melted a plastic compost bag on the ground outside the building 6 feet away and killed several established plants around the building. I don't know how it didn't burn down.

  3. I found your channel about two weeks ago (was watching videos about supertunias), and I have binge watching all your videos. I really enjoy your content.

  4. I have so many 🍄 s too. I'm going to try that app for fun. I didn't know about touching them. Thank you for this information.

  5. Fitting for Friday the 13th lol but you always make it work in the end. Those pots are absolutely stunning! Your vision is coming together! Thank you for the mushroom app recommendation, I work at a veterinary emergency hospital and see a number of mushroom toxicitys. Will definitely help when the owners bring in the mushrooms for identification. Stay safe, today is supposed to be bad again 😢

  6. Your planters are beautiful, we all knew you weren't going to mess them up. I went on my favorite site, Wayfair to see what they had, holy crap, some were so expensive. Look forward to seeing this corner come together.

  7. Love all of this video, as a fellow Davis resident! I’m curious about the roses though… I thought they needed full sun? Will be very pretty in your back corner though❤

  8. Those pots are beautiful and they are going to look beautiful in your garden ❤
I’ve drilled holes in pots before and when I watched you doing those pots I thought Wow they are probably very thick on the bottom. I was so surprised to see that it wasn’t that long before you made the holes 👍🌹🌹

  9. I have been there and done that with the drilling of the ceramic pot! I used the exact same video by the way to learn how, a couple summers ago and I went crazy drilling through a lot of my ceramic and porcelain pots. Stay safe keep dry!!! I'm not too far south of you so definitely know what you mean with these storms.

  10. Oh my goodness! I felt your stress! I was holding my breath while you were drilling the pots. 😅 Congratulations… The roses will be beautiful! 🌹M

  11. Janey! Thank you for showing and vocalizing all the struggles and nerves with these projects! Such a huge boost for the rest of us that struggle too! A big hug (or fist bump) on this day! 🥰

  12. Oh, you poor girl! What a stressful day! Hope you had time to unwind before kiddos get home! Great job on the drainage holes..I would have been very nervous also!! ** we are coming to San Diego then up to LA in two weeks.. we will bring the sunshine back to you! 🌞

  13. I live in Southern CA and noticed mushrooms in my garden like that last week. At first I thought it might have been a partially decayed bell pepper. So unusual for this area.

  14. A heads up, if you leave the roses in those pots long enough for the roots to touch the sides you will not be able to get the rose out of the pot because the rim turns inward. I found out the hard way with a similar pot and had to shatter the pot to get the plant out.

  15. So glad you show the reality of planting lol messy, frustrating, and sometimes chaos

  16. Janey, thank you for the shout to PG&E my hubby is a lineman for them and I jokingly said to him.. I haven’t seen him in the daylight since New Years.

  17. Safeway has wonderful mushrooms, never mind the risk eating anything else! And yes, I've always heard not to touch them.

  18. Janey's power has been out 7 times? She must have PG&E because we have had no power outages in nearby Roseville which has it's own utility company.

  19. Yay!!! You made the holes in the pots! We could feel your nerves! GREAT JOB! My husband has drilled many pots for me. It’s amazing to me there are so many beautiful pots sold without holes.

  20. I’m grateful you’re not having too much damage from the rains like others in your state. I’m thankful for that.

  21. Oh Janey, you never fail to make me laugh and smile, and kudos to you on your epic pot drilling – loved the dramatic music, LOL! I love how you keep things real and show everything that happens, good or not so good, haha! I think we are all looking forward to drier weather next week. There is so much clean up that I need to do not just in the garden, but under our house where we got some flooding. Love you my friend!

  22. Well done! Isn’t it great how much you expand your comfort zone when you step outside of it?! Bravo!

  23. What a fun real video Janey! Rain is great weather to get your garage tools and greenhouse ready for spring 🌱.

  24. Your roses look great! Funny to watch you drill those holes! Cool with the mushrooms and now you know where your mulch comes from! Happy New Year!

  25. Thank you for sharing your process with roses in garden center pots. Surprise, you now have bare root roses to plant! You didn’t let that hold you back. Great job! Thank you for sharing your true gardening experiences. Love your channel!
