Ebb & Flow Hydroponics (Unboxing AirCube)

Indoor hydroponics growing doesn’t come much easier than an ebb & flow system. Ideal for gardeners new to hydroponics, the AirCube hydroponics system controls the flow of nutrients to plant roots with little effort. Gardener Scott explains the ebb & flow system as he prepares his AirCube system from GrowAce. (Video #gardenerscott #417)

  1. My husband set one up in our garage with plastic down spots. The lights are more reasonably priced now thankfully.

  2. Great video, thanks! I was just talking the other day about possibly setting up a system like that in my laundry room. Still not quite sure but you gave me a lot of helpful information to consider.

  3. Looks like a lovely set…but 600 dollars is wayyyyyy to pricey… I'll stick with my kratky buckets and just make sure I keep on root pruning every 2 or 3 weeks! But this is a lovely set up if you have the $$ ❤️

  4. A new world with Hydroponics Gardner Scott😀
Now the fertilisers to get the system started and the growing medium😊
I was gifted the medium of coco core and the Growing Chemicals from a nearby home owner who s house was used to Grow Marijuana Illegally at the time the chemicals unopened where $500 for 2 Part 20L containers and another $250 in 3x 4L Nitrogen from the Netherlands.
No lighting Police took all that with the drugs.
We didn’t even know it was being used as a Drug House, a fellow neighbor looks across the road from the house, we just saw a man driving his little car in the mornings and a van to work as we thought until it was raided by Police.

  5. I've gotta admit, you've peeked my interest Sir (as usual), looking forward to this series!

  6. I'm sure your upcoming videos will elaborate on what type of nurtuents you will be using, but might I say: RAW (the company) sells the nutrients individually so no matter what nutrient brand you choose if you need a little pinch of something extra you have it there ready to go in a pure concentrated crystalline form. Just a suggestion, it's nice to have as a fail safe. Good luck looks like fun! And wow I'm surprised you won't need to aerate the water! You said the bucket does something to that effect on its own? That's convenient. Looking forward to the nutrient video, thanks for your time.

  7. You should try Kratky hydroponics. I just started it and it is probably the cheapest and easiest version of hydroponics there is. Find some free containers, fill with nutrients, buy or make a net cup, put a seedling in with some pebbles (or aluminum foil or cut pool noodle) and let it grow. No major investment. Only thing is if the container is smaller, you will need to monitor and add nutrients if needed.

  8. Good for you❤❤❤❤❤ looking forward to seeing more hydroponic in the greenhouse❤❤❤❤❤❤ you are the Bob Ross of gardening❤❤❤❤❤

  9. If anyone wants to see this system set up with living soil, I would encourage you to check out Build a Soil youtube channel. Jeremy shows how to set it up and has plants growing in them. It is his first time using them and he also shows the difference between the grow pots and his own grow beds. He talks all about growing in tents and is probably one of the best growers out there. Gardener Scott and Build a Soil are my two favorite growing channels, highly recommend checking them out.

  10. Sounds very interesting! I have always been intrigued with hydroponics but are worried about if it produces excess humidity. I will be interested in your journey with the setup you have.

  11. Now that looks like an interesting little system. I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for sharing

  12. I could see setting something like that up in the future. Never really seriously considered hydroponics before. Thanks Gardener Scott.

  13. So, did they tell you how much it will cost in the future when the BRAIN needs to be replaced or updated? I'm sure the system will have future costs involved.
