  1. Hi, my grass has overgrown this winter
My highest cut setting on my mower will take off more than β…“
    Do I still do it?

  2. Thank you for this video, I keep off the lawn this time of year as so wet, happy new year to you and your family and all your followers πŸ‘

  3. Great stuff. Happy new year Robbie. I was curiously amused when you moved in closer to the camera just as you said the word β€œthatch”. Sorry about that.

  4. I would generally caution people going out and buying Iron Sulphate, as sometimes sulphate of iron is not in the salt form but as infused into small wood/nut chips (as a soil additive for plants). Not always clear on the box. The clue is how the box sounds when rattled, or the weight on contents compared to other products in similar sized boxes. Have just checked rate of application per m2. I normally add iron Sulphate to water and sprinkle over lawns at rate of 4 grams per m2. No ill effects for me but I carefully increased dosages over time. I know I can go higher but no need to at present.

  5. I can think of something worse… Let your 10yo son ride his motocross bike around your lawn as the field is already far too muddy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  6. Hi Robbie HNY, great to see you back. At the moment i am battling with leaves, and the post xmas weight lol. Thanks again for the time , and my application was sent to you ages ago.

  7. Thank Robbie always a thumbs up from me, all your knowledge is priceless and much appreciated. Hope you have a great year. I’ll be watchingπŸ‘

  8. Spot on Robbie……I've put iron and seaweed on couple of weeks ago and I'll bang some on tomorrow πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘. Can't wait for spring tho……still battling those leather jackets. Going to treat with nematodes spring and autumn which will be the 4th treatment counting last year. All for the sake of grass !!!! πŸ‘

  9. Happy new year Robbie, great advice as always πŸ‘πŸΎ I'm looking to push the lawn care side of the business a lot more this year

  10. My lawn is really bad with moss. If I apply some iron now will it be ok leaving the scarifying until early March? I take it I would need to over seed after?

  11. Love the new studio! Really smart and the video quality is looking excellent πŸ‘ŒπŸ» happy new year Bertie πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

  12. Great video Robbie , would that rate you use over in the UK be the same rate for Ireland ? Cheers

  13. What's your thoughts on lawn sand, if people have a decent rotary spreader but don't have a backpack sprayer? I can do soluble iron with a watering can but with 500sqm it takes nearly a day!

  14. All the best for the new year, the studio looks good. I have lawn sand which I bought through your link after you did a video on it. My question is when should I spread that on the lawn? Thanks.

  15. I won't be cutting my grass at the moment. It's two inches underwater. Something to sort out this summer.

  16. What about if your lawn has got a bit too long and the highest setting will take off more than 1/3?

  17. Do you ever roll your lawn? I have a rather large and uneven lawn in places and was considering rolling it but am a little afraid of impaction and causing more problems than it’s worth.

  18. Can I use organic liquid seaweed across my lawn now to help it at all? Will it green it up a bit? It's a bit yellow atm. Don't wanna put the wrong thing down.

  19. happy new year Robbie, thanks for all of the tips through the months.. unrelated, and I apologize, but what are you saying when you start your videos?

  20. The one little detail you didn't mention with iron…..if I use a liquid I will buy a cheap as spray bottle as the iron will damage all of the seals really quickly…so to use an expensive bottle is throwing your money away.,..if you use the granular, make sure you don't get it on your outdoor stone work…it will stain your stone with spots of rust if left on the stone and then gets wet…..There are some product that will clean off the rust stains but is very expensive…and you can't use products like CRC….
