You are one of my plants bff in my head! Lol. Don't even waste your energy on the haters. You know you've made it when you have haters! Thank you for excellent and real content. No gimmicks and trickery on this channel! Please don't stop and continue to be my plant bff! 🤣🤣💕🤭
On the conversation of orchids, I highly recommend looking into different orchid species. My favorites are oncidiums and miltoniopsis however cattleyas and dendrobiums are quite popular as well. They come in all shapes sizes and condition requirements- it's a whole new plant world!
What you’re explaining is called traditional gender roles. Which I agree are ridiculous like most things imposed by colonialism. Sexism is when a group with more financial/ societal / historic power oppresses a group with less power. I agree with your take on it though, the whole “women are nurturing men are not” thing is one of the many patriarchal myths that harm everyone involved. All humans are nurturing, I feel sorry for anyone who chooses not to do anything because it doesn’t align with their prescribed gender role. Thanks for your vids!
Great video! I have quite a few plants and had a cat, Kittykat, not a very original name, who was loved alone. She is missed very much. She never really showed any interest in the plants. She would occasionally bat at the hanging leaves of a Ponytail Palm, but that was all. So I think that you are right about the behaviors of the cats and they will either ignore the plants or have to be kept away from them for their own good! Once again I really appreciate your videos. Hopefully you'll keep doing more of them.
I knew you would want a verrucosum tree 😂
We like a lot of the same plants and I thought the same thing.
My “tree” would be a weirdo Dracaena though with those beautiful verrucosum leaves draping down.
I can see it now and it is beautiful. 🪄
Wait… gloriosum at Woolies?! I haven't even seen it at Bunnings! What's the world coming to! 😱
I love your plants. I have not seen plants that have done so well anywhere else. I also want to say I am more content with the plants I have now and seeing their growth than getting more plants. Seeing your plants has made me realize its the ones you have and take care of that is important not owning more plants you can't afford. 🙂
Thank you for this vidéo 💚🇫🇷🙏🌿
The question about men being involved in growing plants must not know all of the great botanist in the beginning were men. Men tromping around all over the world the Amazon collecting plants. Just like females has mostly been the cook in the home but most all great chefs are men, or use to be.
Oh my gosh! Loving your banana plant. It is stunning! Thanks for all your hard work educating and sharing. I appreciate you.
Hi Jan, appreciate your honesty with people that are giving you a hard time, good on you. I appreciate your content and get inspired with how you grow your plants. I’m the same with you, I like to show my plant so I want them to be healthy and look good.
Oh I love brad’s story, I also have 2 ginger cats and fortunately they are now not interested in the plants. I do keep an eye on them to make sure they are not eating any plants. My cats are also rescues. I think that’s the best way to get them if you want 7 cats. My limit is 3 cats for the size of my house.
One reason why I watch your content is… I like your accent… In the Philippines the hobby is quite vibrant… I'm also new to being a Plant-tito…
Good questions and great bold answers ,👍

Hey! Sydney Plant Guy 🪴and a cat name Brad 😺Blessings for the New Year. You kill me! You had me laughing 😂😂throughout the video. Your channel is growing, don't change who you are, your style, and or your practical way of presenting. Love to you and Brad 💛💛
First I can't believe you get harassed for helping us care for our plants.I'm very sorry this happens to you. Then I want to say I am very grateful you take your time to teach and show us what you do to care for our plants.I think we all want and look forward to getting those big leaves on some of our plants. My fav. is the basic green monstera. Then the sp Columbia since I saw it on Charmaine's channel. With your example to follow I can have confidence in doing this. Thank you very much for taking your time to do this and I love looking at your big leaves.Take care and be safe from a 62year old grandma just starting to collect plants I love. After 24 years of taking care of people with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities and then becoming disabled myself, I needed something to care for and found that in my new friends/plants.
Oh,and I bought a cebu blue as I want one as big as yours.
And then you become the crazy cat dad meme .
Thanks for the Q&A, Jan! I enjoyed it with my morning coffee. Please give Brad some pets from me😺

Stay Gold! Keep doing you and dont let the plant drama infiltrate your channel and negativity. Love your channel and will continue to support you
My cat jane peed in my mom’s big plant which ended her previous plant collection 😅 I didn’t get my own plants (and then give my mom new plants) until I had a place where I could put up shelves and Jane could no longer reach them.
Great video as always ❤️❤️❤️
Love the story about your cats. I have had a ginger cat aswell. Keep doing your videos as you like, dont bother about rude people.
