Since the tables by the wall are just deco move the chief stations one tile over towards them. You will still have a walk way on that side and will now have one on the smoshed side, since you can't walk through when people are seated!

In case it keeps happening, had the same problem with error when loading to restaurant lot, unpausing and game firing my workers. I fixed it by renaming my old sims 4 folder and launching the game, so it made a new vanilla installation. Then just moved saves, trays, and stuff to new folder.

You can add the red rope fencing from Get Famous (or any fencing) at the entrance of the restaurant to stop passers-by from coming into the building. I just like the red rope fencing because it looks more bougie
