Winter Garden Update/January 2023/SE Michigan Backyard Homestead/Kitchen Garden/Paperback Homestead

Welcome to my in-ground potager garden.

Today I’m sharing how a little winter weather protection is allowing me to grow food in the winter. We’ve been harvesting herbs, lettuce, kale, and spinach through some of the coldest weather we’ve had in years.

I live on 2 wooded acres in Southeastern Michigan and grow flowers, vegetables, and some fruit in my no-dig kitchen garden.
