  1. Great advice. I actually started ordering in fall when stock was relished to ensure I got what I wanted, plus seeds like lisianthus and long day onions need planted now.

  2. My Burpee catalog came in day before yesterday! Can't wait to dig in.

  3. Seeds ordered and garden plan drawn up before the start of the new year.πŸ™‚ I stay away from catalogs now, since I'm downsizing my garden. The catalogs would have me ordering this and that to try. 🀣
Folks don't forget there are seeds at the Dollar Store…usually I have 100% germination with them. You can buy 4 packs for 1.25.
And check you local library to see if y'all have a Seed Library. The seeds they give out for free are from Backer Creek and other well know seed companies.πŸ˜ƒ

  4. I got a bunch of seeds from burpee at Menard's. Less than $2 a pack! Some only $1.01!

  5. What are some of your favorite places to order fruit plants? Appreciate your content!

  6. Got all my seeds ordered. Still waiting for some to arrive. You are so right about it being a mood booster. I love spending January brushing up on new to me information that will help in the garden so it’s part of gardening event if you aren’t outside in the dirt! 😊

  7. in 2021 I messed around & didn't get my rosella purple dwarf tomato seeds ordered in time. VIctory seeds of course ran out of stock & didn't get them back in until the end of 2022.
I wasted no time ordering seeds for 2023, & I'm glad I got my orders in. From what I'm seeing now (January 2023) the following go-to online companies have raised their prices significantly.
    -Botanical Interests
    -Southern Exposure Seed Exchange
    -seedsnow
    -Pinetree (superseeds)
Companies have also started reducing the number of seeds per packet.

  8. Back Yard Garden Seeds are my favorite. They specialize is small space varieties for urban/small space gardeners.

  9. Got mine, ordered seed potatoes as well πŸ‘πŸ» I’ve got quite a selection but I enjoy trying new varieties 😊
