NO Slips, NO Problem, HAUL OUT! – Onboard Lifestyle ep.233

On this week’s episode of Onboard Lifestyle, the crew makes it to the Northernmost Port in the Sea of Cortez, Puerto Penasco. With no slips to keep basik while we fly back to the states our only option is to put her in dry storage. With huge tides and an unknown facility, there is plenty to worry about so the nerves were high. Come back next week as we return from The Annapolis boat show and get down to business…see you then!

  1. It must be an age thing slipping up on you Teal, You never used to forget anything let alone turn on a camera.🤣

  2. What an adorable picture of compass napping with Emma, he is definitely living his best life and loving it 🙂
Take care and have a great week crew and cheers for all the great content

  3. Teal,
Don't worry about forgetting the camera. Everyone forgets something once in a while.
A quick comment about your daughter. The old saying is you will not loose her but gain a son.
    Enjoy your trip.

  4. Don't we love life's little quirky moments? And then they turn into the best memories of our lives. Hugs from Texas sweeties 😎

  5. This haul out reminds me of Moss Landing California, Low tide, narrow haul out lane. I’m surprised he drove the lift with your boat that low to the ground. Great video, looks like your having a GREAT time.

  6. I think you had twice the space between the boat and the walls there than Ravenswing had! Phew, good job not scraping the sides 🙂

  7. Tad confused,,, are we caught up? 2023?
So how long are you planning on being out?
Didn't catch that anything is being done, or redone!
Being that packed, they allow you to live in the yard, or you guys air b&b ing?
I guess I need to look back. I must have missed some episodes.. the timeline is messed up in my head..
    Still looks like summertime!

  8. Question: I’ve noticed that you guys do more haul outs and dock at marinas more than most other sailing channels that I watch. Is there a reason for this? Limited power, water or food storage?

  9. The haul out facilities around my parts are dry at low tide too and they only have a ~2.2m spring (~7ft), yeah not many deep draft boats around here, but Basik would be fine, plenty of Cat's to keep you company and Tri's to drool over 🤣

  10. That boat yard looks very familiar! It was only a week later that we got to meet up. I'm flying back down in 2 weeks to finish with Big D. I wish you guys were still there. I'm actually missing Compass' barks. Take care!

  11. Why do you haul out so often ? Most boats haulout when their anti foul need replacing (3years ) You seem to be out every 3 months
