  1. DO NOT USE ZIP TIES !!! THE FOIL WILL STAY PUT BY ITSELF AS LONG AS YOU WRAP IT WITHOUT LEAVING AN EDGE FOR THE WIND TO CATCH. USING ZIP TIES TRAPS WATER JUST ABOVE THE TIE AGAINST YOUR TREE CAUSING ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMS LIKE FUNGUS. SANTA SAYS NO TO ZIP GUNS AND ZIP TIES.

  2. If the bark at a base of a young tree looks gnawed off it was a rabbit. Squirrels don't eat bark, neither do deer. Deer will eat the ends of twigs on branches thou. Best way to stop it from happening is just using tree wrap (burlap) and twine. If you forget it and leave it on the tree it will be fine.

  3. Thank you so much for sharing. I have been worried about 2 small Japanese maples I have in my yard. I am going to try this to save my trees. So thankful❣
