In this video I share the concept plan I have created for the backyard ecological landscape, here in Orange County. The concept plan is intended to communicate and visualize the general idea of how the landscape will look and function, and how some of the goals, such as water harvesting, will be accomplished. I find that as I begin to work on the site, new observations and connections show themselves, which end up effecting the final look and function of the landscape. The concept plan provides a general starting point to direct the work, while leaving room for innovation along the way.
