I love the asymmetrical round chair! I think that wooden base is correct. It was balanced when FD sat on it. You could cut a foam cushion to fit it and cover it with black fabric or another color. You don't have to recover the whole thing. And, I love all of the drawer pulls! You can give cabinets and drawers an instant facelift with new pulls and handles.
