How People Live in the Most Unlivable City of Russia? | Arkhangelsk | Documentary ENG SUB

How do people live in the actual Arctic? If we look at Arkhangelsk, Russia, the answer will be: not good. The houses are half-ruined, roads are broken, streets are dirty, there’s mud everywhere, cars are parked chaotically… I was shocked to see the state of the city and wanted to speak to the mayor immediately. To my surprise, he agreed. Watch the video to hear what he thinks about the deplorable conditions the residents of Arkhangelsk are living in!

  1. If you like this video, don't forget to subscribe: you'll get notifications when new videos are released. Your subscription means a lot to me, and contributes to the protection of freedom of expression!

  2. Maybe if the "Regime" in Moscow would put a lot more attention into their own people, and a lot less in unprovoked military invasions, things would improve quite a bit in Russia's far flung cities and villages.

  3. As the late John McCain said" russia is a gas station masquerading as a country "…but, it's the motherland🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  4. Yeah, this is exactly what the USA, Germany, France etc. wants! The riches of Russia! 🤣
Russia will never invest nor do anything about this, they would rather wage a war…. And steadily but surely slipping back to the status of 3rd world country as it was all along!

  5. 16:12 Warm green water is district heating and in a normal society residents or passers by call the authorities or the local energy company to report a leakage but I guess it is different in #Russia.

  6. Everything in russia are so depressing. No wonder they are jealous about the West's standard.

  7. Awful living conditions…Mr Putin should put money into improving his people's lives instead of his personal war on Ukraine… you paint the real picture of life… your videos are great!

  8. Typical…"I'm OK" WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM…! Arrogance beyond belief…

  9. Putin found a solution. Either he can improve the Russian living standards or he can bring other nations to the Russian living standards.

  10. Thank you for exposing this misery. Putin and his gang may stop foreign adventure and work for the welfare of the local people. Russia could sell gas and other resources to Europe for a long time and with that money they could make Russia beautiful.

  11. Would be much better if it just showed what it looked like and narrated without bitching and complaining.

People live there because that's life and they adapted to it, is it so hard to believe they're resilient people?

  12. Can I find these videos somewhere with original sound? Cant stand videos with that dubbing 🤦‍♂️

  13. Love seeing places I will never be able to visit. Keep up the good work. I went to Russia in 2008 and 2009 and I love the Russian aesthetic. Its very unique and hopefully the future will be better for Russian people.

  14. Husen är från Stalins Gulag tid. Det Sovjetiska tänket att allt tillhör alla, därför tar ingen ansvar.
Inget konstigt. Husen var fina på den tiden. Du får förklara bakgrunden i din nästa film.

  15. Ukrainian cities after Russian bombed them still look better, no worries Moscow around kremlin is post card gorgeous.

  16. I think your videos would do MUCH better if you dropped the dubbing. People HATE dubbing (unless you are german or french i guess) subtitles are MUCH better 😀

  17. How exciting! I can hardly wait for socialism to come to our country. All the capitalists where I live insist on keeping everything fixed because it provides more work for everyone. And I am enthralled by the free housing that the government gives to people, each according to their need. I am sure the government is concerned and will rehouse these people as soon as possible.

  18. Thank you for exposing the clearly evidenced dereliction of duty by those charged to run society for the better. Ad's =£££

  19. This explains the short life expectancy of people in Russia. So I guess their not so "Special Military Operation" makes sense after all.

  20. Like China, the Russian propaganda machine is very effective in brainwashing ordinary Russian people. If they listen and obey their government and officials, they will get money. Otherwise, they will be sent to jails. I was so surprised to converse with many Putin supporters in the big cities like Moscow and Saint Petersburg as well as remote villages while I was in Russia years ago. Those live in the remote villages are often old folks who moved there during the Soviet area. Now they are retired and lived on pension. Yet, they strongly support Putin while they constantly complain about everything, and care less about their polluted water.

  21. Abit like north Korea.. they will get punished for speaking the truth. Putin rather spend his money on military equipment then his own people.

  22. Talk about the Prophet of Doom. You could seek out buildings like this in any major city if you chose to support your narrative. And clearly he doesn't like public advertising. I guess nor would he like the increase in property taxes required to install them at public expense. And why don't construction trucks stop and wash their wheels down before driving on public roads..!! My god, it just goes on and on. Lets not overlook the fact that Arkhangelsk is about as far North as you can get. Winter is very severe & summer is very short. So how do you really expect beautiful flower gardens to flourish..? I watched out of interest and frustration, but don't think I'll be watching too many more of his diatribes of misery. Try looking for some benefits to balance your journalism. It may just create a more balanced outlook.

  23. The most interesting thing, despite being a name is that sulfat means sulfate in my language.
    And its the same word
    And its latin

  24. For me, who has never been to Russia, this is very interesting. It's sad to see the state of the houses, but amazing how tenacious the inhabitants are. However, I think you miss the opportunity to talk about solutions. What have other cities done to recover from similar situations. You should contact experts, both from Russia and from other countries. Then you can give city leaders tools to take action. The will of the people could be restored and the sense of pride could return.

  25. If you want to see the same living type, go to the ghettos of America or jsut outside Washington DC, or Hollywood California now known as tent city. Every country has these living conditions sadly

  26. Over 700,000 Russians have fled and 106,720 have died in Ukraine. Out of aged population of 143.4 million, Russia is facing a very dark future. "Be the not Deceived "What so ever a Man Soweth, So Shall He Also Reap" 💀

  27. Really enjoyed this! Thanks for your hard work – and hard-hitting questions fired at the Mayor of Arkhangelsk! Keep up the good work, 💖 🇨🇦

  28. Communist governments don't care about their people, just themselves. This is normal thinking.

  29. My wife was born and raised in Arkhangelsk, I’ve visited as recently as 2021. My extended family lives there.

Quite frankly, this video is total horseshit.

Yes there are some dilapidated buildings in the outskirts but what do expect from a city with a shrinking population for the past 4 decades.

The city center is basically a small Saint Petersburg, beautiful stone architecture, clean, well maintained.

My father in law is a taxi driver and lives comfortably in a modern apartment.

  30. Some people are just thankful they are alive brother
and thankful for what they have ,
not unthankful for what they don't
    have

    And without money
It is Hard to make repairs
    Also
    It's hard to move
    Esp to another city
    To work and access it
    To begin with it

Also if a person does not know what they are missing out on
    They won't miss it too

I sure hope they can increase
    The relocation program
But they are content and happy
So please No need to make them feel
    Guilt or shame

We should not offend or oppress the poor brother
    Walk in their shoes
    Before we judge

Esp if one is blessed to travel
And blessed to be invited into these peoples lives

    Because most people are beautiful
On the inside and that's the real
Treasure if you look hard enough

And places like this are worldwide
    I guess
Ive also watched some cities in America on YouTube
    Showing run down neighbourhoods
    too
    Buildings can't last forever
And maybe the building are beyond
    Repair
    Or structurally unstable
And is easier to build anew
    Rather then restore
    Anyway I enjoyed the insight

    Stay safe thanks for highlighting
Need for aid but Please remain humble and respectful ❤️🙏
