  1. Your house is beautiful. It was nice seeing all the changes through out the years. You inspire many of us to change things in our homes.

  2. I loved this tour of befores and afters. I love what you’ve done with the house. I particularly like your kitchen with the beams (the old pantry area. Great job! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Beautiful transformations! What paint did you use on your trim? And did you have to sand it first?

  4. Did you go to school for interior design you have amazing style. Also I love love love your kitchen. You gave me so many ideas for my own kitchen now. Thank you

  5. Happy New Year. I was taught change is good. New perspectives. It was nice to see what was and how you have changed it over time.

  6. Like looking back at your home over the years. Time and styles change. Love your style now. I enjoyed this video. Thanks.

  7. I love the way your house looks currently- so bright, warm & welcoming.

    You are a beautiful gem.

  8. I loved seeing the changes over the years! Love the changes that were made. The whites really are so serene. 😍

  9. VERY INSPIRING! Thank you. I love your old white pergola. I’m going to try to build one. Store-bought ones are made of cheap metal or wood plus they’re very expensive and don’t last long. I’ll build a u-shaped couch out of pressure treated wood to match.

  10. Wow Love everything….❤❤❤❤❤❤. Look forward to seeing the future changes as well..!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  11. Mary,, you are just amazing! You inspire me so much. Thank you for your videos and I hope they continue for a long, long time. Blessings to you and your family in the New Year.

  12. I like the living room and kitchen in the white colors the best. They are bright and sunny. The red is not my taste, but I am sure it was just a season you went through. That is the great thing about paint… it gives you lots of options over the years. My house is very colorful, yellow livingroom with a olive green wainscoting. Kitchen is lavender and a light lime green (painted my cabinets a light beige creme color years ago). 3 Bedrooms, one pink, one light blue, one beige w/gold accent wall. Entry way beige with stripes and stencils on opposite walls. My craft/office (sponged beige w/ tan still love that room, did that in 2002). Theres a light blue bathroom, and a beige bathroom (it was 5 colors sponged painted at one time, purples/blues/pinks).
I even painted the inside of my garage yellow a long time ago. Bright and cheery.
I love to paint, my house is proof of that. So I can relate with all if your changes over the years. I would like to see you redo you countertops and island with some kind of a durable stone/quartz. Thanks for sharing with us.

  13. Fun and inspiring. We're on a similar track changing things a bit at a time without spending a whole lot of money.

  14. This was fun to see. I lack the decorating gene, but there is hope for me with friends like you. When we moved in we painted every room a different strong color so it was interesting to see that you had tried different colors. Thank you, Mary!

  15. Hi Mary. It must be so wonderful to have so many memories in this one house. People move so much these days. You don't have to travel far, you are there. I am truly happy for you and your family. You boys have grown up basically where you did. Amongst the trees and hillsides as you. That in itself must feel perfect. I know nothing is perfect but I think you understand. You and John have worked together with your boys to make your home a real showplace. Through all the changes, your home has been beautiful. I liked your staircase when it was painted black and white. It gave it character and definition. Anything you do Mary is just beautiful. I want to wish you and your family a happy, healthy New Year! God bless. From a Nana in Texas! ☺️

  16. Mary I enjoyed the tour of your home and outside property It’s all so beautiful what a lovely place to live. So peaceful and private. Anything you choose to do will be amazing. God Bless your beautiful family. Thanks for sharing.

  17. Hi Mary, you are definitely a very talented decorator…designer
Loved the farm house look you have achieved..
And your photoger who ever he/she is does a spectacular job of showing off your place…

I wondered if you have ever thought of using a crisp white crown molding? I love the idea of crown molding because it sets off the color of the walls similar to a frame around a picture. Anyway, your home and talent are amazing!

  18. I loved seeing the changes over the years. It shows your visions and creativity. What a beautiful property!

  19. Love the changes you’ve made through the years. I like seeing what can be done to update a home to keep it current through the years.

  20. Hey Mary! Change is good, and your home definitely has seen quite a few changes! Here I was thinking that you didn't care for color in your home. You've tryed several colors over the years. It was so amazing to see the before and after pictures. I'm glad you decided to share this video with us. After seeing all this I can see how you got to the decorating style you like now. Tfs. Much 💚, Dorothy

  21. I just love your before and after pictures, it's always amazing to see what a big difference color can make, you've made your home just beautiful!!

  22. Mary, this video was so fun to watch. I think I found your channel around the time you were redoing the bathroom floors, I was hooked from then on. I have never felt very talented at home decor and seeing the different trends and stages your home has going through is very inspiring. Thanks for taking the time to show us. I love all the details, pillows, wall hangings, natural colors. Beautiful!

  23. Hello Mary. I love what you have currently. We all go through different stages as we go through life. I’m currently trying to finish up on the inside of our home. We have two bedrooms to go upstairs. I love what you did in your basement too. So plan to work on that here next. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring me in believing I can do this. It’s helped me so much. May God bless you for all your sharing with us!! ♥️take care

  24. Thank you so cool to see. I would of had memories like that but my family split up 20 years ago and I live in an apartment now. So all your sharing is so important to me. Blessings
    Waiting for His return

  25. Ha! Love the faux shiplap!! You know how to get the look you want without the price tag to go along with it. That's why we tune in. RC

  26. Mary you are sooo creative, just over flowing with ideas !! You've decorated your home so beautifully ! I can relate to you and the change of taste through the years !! Happy New to you also. Enjoyed the video.

  27. It was a lovely home to begin with, but you made a lot of beautiful changes. I really liked the red kitchen, but the white definitely made it more open and clean looking. Thank you for sharing all that with us.

  28. I love the changes that you’ve done to your home through the years. I would have loved to have seen more of your deck from when you hosted luncheons/teas. I have a large front deck/porch. It isn’t covered at the present but we’re considering closing it in in the future but need to wait until finances are available to do so. We put up an aluminum 10×10 covered awning that provides a bit of shade but wish I could cozy up the space a bit more. Any helpful ideas would be appreciated. I love watching your videos. I wish I weren’t afraid to simply tackle a project like you do. I’m afraid I’d mess something up I guess. LOL.

  29. I would try a grey on your walls in the living room. Would make the light furniture pop. I used repose grey from Sherwin Williams.
