Perhaps the modern name of Lincoln is a concatenation of Lindum Colonia?
I can sympathise with both of you – I'm not a 'peoply' person either. You wouldn't catch me anywhere near a Christmas market.
Happy Christmas evewryone! Very interesting episode – I'm alone and sick in bed with the flu, so I really enjoyed that.
The mystery of 'Wadden Organs' is solved! Wadden is the Frisian/Dutch word for tidal mud flats, so it's only logical that the locals would adopt that term, and the organ part would be the frogs tendency to start up a chorus at twilight (try camping in the French countryside – awful!) Oh Lil, you had to go and say it – my favourite catchphrase of yours – "Ribbit, ribbit". Now you will have to rename Bob the Frog to Bob the Wadden Organ!
