  1. My father was Polish and my mother English. Our family immigrated to Canada many years ago. My father would make "Polish" stars out of paper or ribbon and hang them with thread on the tree. He also would do the same with Roses chocolates. Christmas was a big deal when my parents were alive and my brothers' children were small. These days it's just me and my English husband and I'm content with a quiet Christmas now. Wesolych Swiat to you and your family!

  2. Hai, please keep on doing your video's. Your content is just good. Even if you only post a video once every two weeks, that's fine too. But please don't go away from youtube. I'm going to miss you terribly then. A merry Christmas for you and your family. and a good and healthy 2023. See you soon.

  3. Merry Christmas Nisha and Paul, Max and Louie!! I have the same thoughts, so often, about the 80's and 90's and technology.Thank you for your videos, always. Sarah

  4. Christmas in the US largely varies by region and each family’s traditions. We’re such a mishmash from all around the world. I’m American from a Scandinavian and Portuguese background and my husband is Guatemalan. We refer to Christmas Eve in our home affectionately as Scandimalan, and we have charcuterie, tamales, some other nibbly bits, and ponche de Navidad (a hot fruit punch made from real fruits.) Christmas Day is when we open gifts, in the morning. Dinner will be whatever we decide and is typically either steak or rib roast with potatoes and veg. Some years we opt to have asado, enchiladas by candlelight, or a taco-style bar instead. It just depends on the year, but it’s always “lazy” and simple.

  5. Nisha, I wish you a wonderful Christmas! I LOVED this video, it was like a nice chat with a girlfriend 😘

  6. Merry and peaceful Xmas from Spain! I love your Xmas reflections and your stories about your chilhoood in Poland!Have a very happy Xmas season! We ususally eat seafood and fish and sweets like turron ,mazapan and polvorones (lots of sugar!!!)
And we have our presents on the 6th of January (3 wise men bring our presents from Oriente) As you probably Know….Spain is different!!!!

  7. Think it’s after Covid Nisha, imho we are just thankful & happy for what we have got, don’t need much, I know I am. Have a wonderful Christmastime, enjoy the simplicity of celebrations and being together.

  9. Hi Nisha, Merry Christmas from Canada 🇨🇦 we always have turkey for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

  10. Age and the way of the world both contribute to our comfort of being in our safe and comfortable home environment. And with the availability of on line shopping we can have what we need and most of what we want without leaving home. And I remember my grandparents and parents saying they wish we could go back a generation. Videos like this are enjoyable because it gives us insight into your personality which makes you more relatable to your viewers. I try to duplicate your eye look, never successful, I still try. Stay with us! We need your insights and entertaining nature.

  11. I am 61 and my best friend who is 58 were talking about exactly what you mentioned about staying home. We call it nesting. Both love being in our homes. She has a husband and unfortunately I lost my husband suddenly 1/2016, so when I am home it is me and my 4 legged felines. God bless them. They are so much company. But, I do love being at home. It is comfortable, safe and it is a wonderful feeling. I do wish I lived near the wonderful people I watch here because I know we all would be great friends. Thank you for sharing your Christmas in Poland. Merry Christmas Nisha to you and your family, may you continue to be blessed. ♥♥♥

  12. Love your ‘Christmas Reflection’ video! It’s great to hear that out tube hero’s are real people with real lives. Your stories of your life in Poland and your family are so heartwarming! Wishing you and your family a very happy holiday, from Texas!

  13. Oh Nisha, Such a lovely video! Loved seeing Louis frolic in the snow. Loved hearing about your upbringing In Poland. My family heritage is from England. I have never visited so I love seeing the countryside when you post. I was born and brought up in New England USA. You asked about Christmas Dinner traditions. We always had Turkey for Thanksgiving & Turkey for Christmas growing up. When I married shortly after my Mother in Law. started to have Tenderloin Roast for Christmas Dinner. My husband and I still have carried that tradition. Your decorations behind you are amazing! Such a winter wonderland. Love it! I felt your emotions. I feel the same way. Times have changed especially since the virus. It has changed us all. You are an amazing person Nisha. I love watching your videos. Merry Christmas!

  15. Merry Christmas Nisha! Here a roumanian living in California. We keep the traditional Christmas from Roumania with lots of pork, cabbage rolls, appetizers, sausages and the best cookies and cozonac. Very cold in California this time.

  16. Hi Nisha – Such a lovely chat with you. You share so much with us and we appreciate whatever you share with us. I agree that the 1980's and 1990's were good years for so many reasons. I enjoyed listening to you reminiscing about childhood times. I hope you and your family have a wonderful and cozy Christmas and I wish you all the best in 2023!

  17. In the Netherlands we have 2 Christmas days. And Christmas Eve is always important in religious famylies. You go to the mass in the church and afterwards you go to your home there is a beautyfull decorated table. You drink hot chocolate for the children and for the adults something stronger. You eat Christmas bread with a lick of butter and little christmas wreaths cookies. We don’t give presents at Christmas because we have Sinterklaas on december 5 and everyone get then presents.

  18. Hi Sweetheart. I am 65 you don’t have to buy and buy to show us makeup all the time. You talking about your reflection is beautiful. I do feel your reflection comes with age, since we do think and reminisce our past like your nice Christmas . We have turkey and ham on Thanksgiving depending what people want and like. Christmas ham sometimes pizza so everyone can enjoy family time. I like when you talk about other things also. Enjoy your season.

  19. SO late viewing this…comments will likely not be seen…but anyway…I, too, would LOVE a nice cabin in the woods–I've always loved the woods–and once lived on the south shore of Boston, in a beautiful house in the woods–over-looking the harbor. Yeah…that was some pricey real estate that's not even close to my budget these days!! It always is around here: Lake Tahoe/Camden, Maine/Lake Winnipesaukee…Love that feel, that look, for sure–and adding mountains is a big plus! As for Christmas dinner–I think the menu is not as fixed, as standardized, as Thanksgiving here in the USA. We might have turkey or ham or a crown beef roast or a tenderloin…our sides might bring in our nationalities' dishes. My Polish/Ukrainian in-laws always add kielbasa and sauerkraut…and golumpki, for example. My Irish family will always bring the potatoes…pies…so it varies. Hope you have a wonderful time–no matter what you eat!–with your family. Enjoying getting caught up on your videos as I wrap!

  20. I am 56, and i also like be in home. Today is Christmas Eve. I was so happy, when you talking about memories of your Home Country. We had quite similar Christmas -70- 90. Finland is Evangelical Lutheran Country. Lot of warm memories of Christmas. Thank you, Nisha, Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄🌷🌷🌟🌟.

  21. My childhood Christmas memories are similar to @Kath where I grew up in beautiful hills of Virginia USA and we all went to Church where a huge Christmas tree was decorated and presents under the tree for everyone. Always a brown bag with apple, orange and candy cane!! We would go caroling too around the neighborhood making sure we had cookies for the elderly and children. It was wonderful and wish my children and grandchildren could have experience it. Talk about in the middle of the woods is exactly where our farms were at. Back then I hated being isolated but today I would welcome it so much!!!

  22. Christmas is a very big deal here in Texas❤ My husband loves the traditional turkey dinner, it’s a repeat of Thanksgiving with all the side dishes. Other families have whatever they like for Christmas Day😊 Our Christmas Eve is so much like what you describe❤️

  23. Please don’t feel like I watch your channel for the “newest whatever” ❤️ You have a beautiful soul and a lovely voice, I love checking in with how you are doing in the UK😊❤️

  24. Parts of Poland are similar to southern Minnesota USA
We were in Poland in 2005 mission trip to help a Church in a small town. A precious memory 💖.

  25. Back to watching you after year's of taking care of my sweet mother who passed last year. We have ham for Christmas. I love your videos. My husband and I never had children. We are so much alike.

  26. I'm 63 , but remember my clubbing days. I now enjoy being at home. I was a nurse for 32 years and director of facilities with lots of responsibilities. I now enjoy friends and great wine. Enjoy your life and do what you like.

  27. Hi Nisha, it’s lovely to hear about the polish Christmas traditions & it’s great to see that it’s snowing in England ❤. Poland must have been special as they produced the Great Pope. & yes I know what you mean about being comfortable & content – I think it’s the age – having been there & done that etc & a sense of gratitude & knowing what matters. Also I think you could have a whole video on ‘the way things were’ & how they should be today 💡

  28. Hi Nisha, I have always thought there was a rule with eyeshadow & lipstick 💄 = if eyes are big then lips are neutral, & if lips are bright/big, then eyes are neutral & played down.
