Enjoy a walking tour around Singapore Gardens by the Bay.

The Gardens by the Bay is a nature park spanning 101 hectares (250 acres) in the Central Region of Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir. The park consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden (in Marina South), Bay East Garden (in Marina East) and Bay Central Garden (in Downtown Core and Kallang). The largest of the gardens is the Bay South Garden at 54 hectares (130 acres) designed by Grant Associates. Its Flower Dome is the largest glass greenhouse in the world.

Gardens by the Bay was part of the nation’s plans to transform its “Garden City” to a “City in a Garden”, with the aim of raising the quality of life by enhancing greenery and flora in the city. First announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at Singapore’s National Day Rally in 2005, Gardens by the Bay was intended to be Singapore’s premier urban outdoor recreation space and a national icon.

Being a popular tourist attraction in Singapore, the park received 6.4 million visitors in 2014, while topping its 20 millionth visitor mark in November 2015 and over 50 million in 2018.

  1. luckily, i just visited the floral fantasy, kingfisher wetlands and the new mrt station close to the marina barrage! the kingfisher lake looked so verdant, natural and peaceful. it would be even better to see the water lilies in full bloom at the kingfisher lake if we were lucky as well as various bird species present at the vicinity.
i also saw the tiger sculpture outside the floral fantasy, it's just that you had a closer look at the tiger sculpture made from recyclable materials. i even liked the roof architecture of the gardens by the bay mrt station, especially at entrance 1 right in front of the marina barrage. in the future, you can walk closer to the new steel structure next to the mrt station entrance.
may i know, what is the tent at 5:48 for? it was in the midst of setting up when i was there. anyhow, you can show us the less-known areas like serene japanese garden and the new garden pod container hotels close to the meadow and also the active garden including the vegetable garden close to the marina bay sands. i also suggest you to show us the gardens including the rooftop one at the new capitaspring tower at raffles place as well.
