The best part of 2022 has been the forced practice of using my preps. Just this past weekend force tested our water storage. Now have some improvements to implement.

I'm 62 woman my sons are 26 and 28 and don't believe anything I try to tell them they just block me out…
I can't finish cutting the wood I messed up and when I got propane heat and sold my chain saws…heve no other family …I ask for help they too busy I don't understand kids today ?? They are farm raised but have run away from it…I can only prep and wait till they wake up and see…and they will …they know history they know farming…but still refuse to listen to me…they just don't see it yet…but I'm doing for them too…they are all I live for…and praying they come to see soon their great law abiding kids never drink or no drugs.. all yes sir and no mam…I think they just block it out to keep from being stressed I raised them alone and in church …so need prayers so they see the truth soon …God Bless you for all you share with everyone and I pray for you to stay safe ! Together people can be strong

We now live in a home in city limits ( not our permanent home, we will be leaving California ) but we can not have our chickens, farm animals or even a garden as we were use to however, I have canned, dehydrated, powdered, vacuum sealed, frozen, water glassed and prepped like crazy. Will be container gardening starting in January through the seasons. Never underestimate prepping! Amen and thank you to you Mac’s! God is in control always!

I went into a target today and the shelfs were bad almost completely empty in food. No blankets, no canning jars, no heaters. Thank God I've been ready for this and we are taken care of. Been watching over the elderly couple behind us to make sure they are warm and safe…
Ammo is another one that's coming up short. The cost of it has almost doubled in the last 6 weeks. But able to buy a case everywhere so far but limits are back on where I'm at.
I want to say thank you for the encouragement. Even as a chaplain sometimes with things that go around you just need to have a little peptalk like you just gave. There’s some medical problems going on with one of my family members. And I’m so glad that my son is doing everything correct to take care of his wife during this time. I physical strength and abilities that I did have I don’t have. But whatever I can do, I will be looking out for her because she has looked out for me even before my son knew her. So thank you for the encouragement because we all need that periodically. Thank you. Praise the Lord.

I learned A LOT this past year. I learned I am stronger than I thought and weaker than I thought. I know that sounds weird but I have grown more confident in my preparedness and saw some holes in some areas. The same with my relationship with my GOD and my family/friends/neighbors. I spend a lot of time worrying about what my house looks like inside and out and realized my husband I are the only ones here…if we are okay with it anyone else will have to be also. I work hard every year in my garden growing our vegetables and preserving them for the year…that is great and WE enjoy them all year round, I also have learned to care for my chickens to be rewarded with eggs. There will always be areas in my life where I could do better BUT I PUT MY FAITH IN THE LORD that HE will continue to guide me in the way HE wants me to go…I just hope that I am listening and obeying HIS WILL. BLESSINGS to you and your beautiful family.
They always drop babies in the worst weather always. Barometric pressure drops and those babies come. We always get baby sheep when it’s coldest. Lots of barns for them and warm bedding. And we heat them internally with alfalfa.
