Beet Harvest | Getting Backyard Garden Ready For Spring Season

With the Spring planting date right around the corner, I have to clear out the winter crops and get the ground ready for the spring season. This is the first part of a little series of getting my backyard garden ready for the spring. Today we start with cutting and juicing the beet tops then coming back a couple days later to dig up the beets.

  1. When my two oldest were wrestling in High School, beet juice (both root and greens) was always a quick energy boost for them. I haven't grown beets since then. Watching this is making me want to add beet seeds to my list of things to plant in the fall. Thank you for sharing, and reminding me how much fun beets can be.

  2. AZ farm..lovely beets and that is a bad chicken. my neighbours chickens destroyed so much in my garden recently…
