What I’m Growing in My Florida Vegetable Garden in August (Other Than Weeds).

Over the summer I grow only heat tolerant, low maintenance crops. On this garden walk-through, I will show you my Sweet Potatoes, Southern Peas, Pigeon Peas, Peppers, Moringa, Fig Tree, Papayas, Everglades Cherry Tomatoes, Lagos Spinach, Green Callaloo, Egyptian Spinach/Molokhia, Turmeric, and Pollinator-Attracting Flowers. I don’t do much gardening in July so the weeds are taking over the garden. I’m starting to prep the garden for Fall planting now and will be planting many seeds in the coming weeks.

Neptune’s Harvest Tomato & Veg Fertilizer 2-4-2 (Note: this formula is best for first few weeks of plant growth, as it encourages lots of green leafy growth. For fruiting/flowering plants, I switch to the Rose & Flowering formula after the first few weeks.
