  1. Great garden tips for the heat. I’m in Middle Tennessee and the high today was 95 ☀️☀️. It doesn’t look like any relief for next 7 days !😞

  2. It’s been 90-95° in Michigan for a little over two weeks and we watered at least twice a day and a few three times a day, I started fertilizing twice a week because I was concerned about washing the nutrition out of our soil, what I have noticed is the peppers are getting a little yellow so I’ll add some iron and nip that in the bud. 3. These are great tips , my leaves will wither a bit during the day but I make them wait till eavning watering.
Stey out of the sun if you can. We are getting it this weekend 😝.

  4. Thank you for the reminder me to feed after watering so often in this heat. My potted planted in front of the house are lagging now too. I'll have to get my plant fertilizer out and see if that is their problem as well. Be Careful out there. God Bless

  5. Hi Tina and Mark .. This heat is taking it's toll on a lot of gardens .. Thanks for the feeding and watering tip . Take care ,God Bless ..Love ya

  7. Here in WA state we have a big problem with slugs and snails. I put salt around the patio and plants. Not in the plant. But my cabbage is still getting eatten and all my other plants too. I have to many to bring in at night. Only my tomato plants. What can I do to keep the slugs and snails away.

  8. We're have a nice summer. Fair amount of rain. Cool evenings. Enjoyable. Your plants look great, thanks for the garden tips.

  9. Sometimes when its hot just like plants I like someone to splash me with water from the garden hose. lol
Whew, Its been hot in T.N. the last few days the heat index has been over 100f.

  10. Thanks for the tips on feeding cucumbers Tina. I just harvested one for our supper tonight and it was nearly a foot long. I surely do not want to loose these plants. Take care and God bless.

  11. Thanks for the tip for helping out the plants in the crazy heat. Wish we would get some rain, that would surly help

  12. I've watched primarily, vining plants, leaves start off strong and lush in the morning, limp as a rag in the afternoon, and vibrant again in the evening, no water! I think I've also read, it's a defense mechanism they use to conserve energy. Don't know, but it's weird to watch, and harder than heck to restrain yourself from rushing out and drowning them to cool them off!!

Update, my water melons in pot's, (10 gallon grow bags) one plant has 2, another has 1, little
pea size 🍉🍉🍉's on them!!! 👍👍👍

  13. Thanks for the tips. We've been 120 but will be at 113 this next week. Poor plants are hurting. Shade cloth has helped the peppers and they're not wilting as much.

  14. Hi Tina, sorry I haven’t been keeping up with you guys in the past few weeks. It’s been really busy here and my husband is going through a bad spell with keeping his diabetes in check. So haven’t had much time to keep up but I’m back and looking forward to your videos. Love ya bunches 🦋💕

  15. I'm not tolerating the heat at all this year. It's been in the 90's since April and has been 100 a couple of times already. When we had trees in Collier County, FL, it never got over 93 degrees. The developers bulldozed the developments and planted palms and pines in their place. There is very few broadleaf trees left and that's where you get the cooling from transpiration. I'll be glad when we sale and get out of here and move to agricultural land. I didn't get any seeds started this year, but I'm going to try to start some later. We haven't had a hard freeze in years, so I should be able to do some container planting after it cools down. If it gets cold. I'll cover the plants and they should do well.

  16. Great advice Tina. Thanks for the tip on the Job's fertilizer. I've been using it but hadn't thought about adding it in lower rations more often. We are getting hot here this next week so the timing is perfect!
When I worked at a well known nursery here in Portland we would use water soluable fertilizers and dilute it quite a bit for the plants so that every time we watered they got a drink with some nutrition in it. It was fantastic how well that worked. I watered hundreds of baskets that year and had to often water twice a day when it got windy, warmer and the plants filled out. Marshmallow Fuschia was a beast to keep watered. That variety was almost impossible to keep watered. A TIP on baskets and smaller containers to know if they need water…get under the hanging basket and lift it up after they are watered well so you know how heavy they feel full of water. Then check them later that day and the next morning…you'll notice the difference in the weight. Letting them go too dry makes them harder to rehydrate too, unless they have the water holding polymer in the soil mix. But feeling how heavy they are is even better than sticking a finger in the soil.

  17. Yeah, my tomato plants have been struggling, 98 and 99's last two weeks with no rain in sight.

  18. Girl, you better stay out of the heat after 9am. Thanks for the tips. Sorry didn't get a chance to watch yesterday🙁 update on the pond… my son and his friend went fishing to see what we have. Between the 2 they caught 23 bass (large and small mouth) in less than an hour. They gave up trying to see what else is in there because as soon as the empty hook hit the water they caught a fish. It hasn't been fished in for 4 years so we are guessing they are starting g to over populate. We have to get an algae test done since there is a lot but is there anything we can feed them? Seems as though they are hungry but they looked healthy lol buddy won't take any because he doesn't know if they are safe to eat.

  19. Thank you Tina. We all need help from time to time remembering what to do for the gardens and when to do it. Thanks sweetheart!!!

  20. Great video. I was just taking a break from the heat watching this. I'm not tolerating the heat very well this year either. 🙂

  21. I’ve been adding a little vegetable and tomato fertilizer every 5-6 weeks. I water every other day. My cherry tomatoes are producing and I’m hoping they start reproducing after picking. My bell pepper plants were so scrawny when I got them, and there are multiple blooms on them.

  22. Yes the heat is tough on plants. My tomato plants got crunchy and died. I had taken cuttings and will be planting those soon. Stay safe and hydrated my friend. Big hugs to both of you 🤗

  23. I planted one tomato 🍅 plant it just didn't take. Rains every day and high temp 90 +.God bless 🙏😇 and family
