  1. So glad you got what you needed safely and got back home before the storm. I think you were meant to encounter the gentleman at the post office providing guidance and a kind word. It's so easy to get drawn into the hustle and bustle of the holidays/life and not notice the struggles of others. Glad you were able to brighten someone's day and share that with all of us. Merry Christmas Kaye!

  2. Just wondering … did you wow the world today by wearing your new cat purse on your shopping trip?

  3. I truly enjoy seeing your heart Kaye. ❤️ My dad went blind with macular. He continued driving and playing golf even though he was legally blind. After triple bypass we convinced him it was time to hand over the keys. You should have heard the nurses in ICU when he was recovering from open heart…that man in room 3 is blind and wants his TV turned on! I said, he can still hear and he loves golf! He would turn his head sideways and put an orange spot on the ball…it's all skill. The other old farts he played with all had some disability and they'd tell him where it landed.
BTW in my humble opinion the chickens would be fine if they have a dry closed coop. Mine survived fine and we went down to -5 in East Texas. I did gift wrap the coop in a blue tarp due to the high winds. They have definitely had enough of this mess. Me too. And…that's how I made my hoops. So easy!

I wish you a blessed Christmas girl! My heart feels for you when you are so tired. I get it. Me too on most days.

  4. That was a very touching story about the gentleman with the vision problem, I would have teared up too. I wish you all the best for the Christmas season. May God richly bless you as we celebrate the birth of our savior!

  5. Hey. BBQ sauce is full of sugar. Them not giving you any was a blessing in disguise.

If I were king of everything, I'd make sugar a "controlled substance"!

  6. I have felt pretty emotional these days, too! I wish we could give to all those in need! We don’t use heat lamps and it gets very cold up here in South Dakota. Our chickens stay in a very large barn. Their coop is part of the barn and during the day they can go out to a screened in open area. They sun themselves out there if possible. We do get cold hardy breeds.

  7. Hello, I can relate onyour thoughts, thank you for sharing, We are truly blessed and Highly favorite.

  8. Bless you. Kindness cost nothing. We need a lot more of that these days. Merry Christmas Kaye!

  9. What touching stories and what a sweet soul you have. It is a gift to us all to have found your channel. Thank you to all you share and do. Merry Christmas to you.

  10. It was fun seeing what your farm market has. Your farm fresh eggs looked great! I used about a dozen eggs making cookies. Now I have to prep rolls for the family dinner tomorrow. Merry Christmas, Kaye! I’ll bethinking of you weathering the storm.

  11. I love your channel. My mom had macular also. It was sad to watch because she loved to read. I made bone broth earlier this fall and it is so good in soups and stews. Merry Christmas and God Bless you.

  12. Kaye, I just wanted to say I love all of your videos!!!! As a 65 year old woman living alone (husband died 9 years ago) I can relate to being tired, owning a home and doing everything yourself. Plus I have bad arthritis and it makes everything twice as difficult and tiring, none the less, we carry on! I am still gardening with my raised beds and fruit trees and berries and don't plan on stopping! Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years to You! and than you for all the lovely and educational videos you always bring to us.😇

  13. You need a small board you can use for a ramp when bringing in the wood.Just a thought:-)

  14. I just love your videos! We are kindred spirits as Anne of Green Gables would say. I enjoy your shopping. Gives me good ideas. Merry Christmas Kaye ❤️✝️👩🏼‍🌾 I love your kindness.

  15. Dear Kaye! Seeing that gentleman, we are so grateful aren't we? That gentleman didn't want any of our sympathy. But, I know why it made you cry. Made me cry too. Unfortunately, been doing a little of that myself lately. I need to snap out of it. I've had a lot on my mind. We so need to be more grateful. As Americans, we have had it good. Even the poorest of the poor look rich in some countries across the world. Are we mourning what we had or thought we had? I don't know. I'm so gratefu for Christ this year. More than ever. That he paid the price for my wretched soul. That gentlemen you saw is doing the right work. And he was happy wasn't he? Sorry for the spill. But, what you said…and what he said makes me know I need to snap out of it and stop this pity party I've been having lately. Just one of those "situations" gnawing at me. I need to appreciate how good life truly is at this moment. As we know, we are not promised another day. We never know when this all will change forever FOR REAL. You take it easy. I hope you're safe and warm and grateful at this moment and that you have a peaceful, blessed Christmas. God Bless us All!

  16. HELLO SMART AND BEAUTIFUL, If I learned anything at all from the LORD it's that truth magnifies the beauty of life and that truth is in everything you do, so I want to thank you for spreading your truth with the world, anyways GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS and HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and above all KEEP SMILING because it's the gift that just keeps on giving and it is priceless. ✝

  17. Merry Christmas Ma'am. The artic blast came through here in Ripley, TN Thursday night. We had winds in the 40+ mph range. I'm dreading the rolling blackouts they're talking about. We haven't had any yet and hopefully and prayerfully we won't have.

  18. THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO. ENJOYED IT, THIS TIME OF YEAR CAN BE A LITTLE EMOTIONAL AND I WAS ALSO WHEN I SAW YOU. I HOPE YOU HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND KEEP WARM.

  19. Jalapeno/Cheddar Sourdough! Sounds awesome. Nana sounds like a southern girl. Merry Christmas Kaye. Keep warm.

  20. Presently 19* @5:00. Wind chill says it feels like 17. More snow expected tonight. I have 2ft in my yard so far. A few days ago it was -24. Much warmer starting tomorrow. It’s very pretty as the trees are all flocked but I’ve had enough winter and I’m ready for Easter. Merry Christmas from Columbia Falls, MT. Thanks for helping me become a late bloomer too. ❤❤

  21. Oh my gosh. The little man so touches my heart. Thanks for sharing about him Kaye. Bless his heart and your heart too for being so kind and compassionate. I LOVE how you’re enjoying the day and making friends as you go. That BBQ looks delicious!!!❤️🎄❤️

  22. Great, heartfelt video. Could you tell about how you built your hoops on your garden beds? Thank you
