How To Grow Lotus Plant From Seeds At Home | Gardening Tips



Lotus plant is native to Australia and southern Asia, but they can be grown in nearly any temperate climate under the right conditions.

Put your seeds in a clear container with warm water and place them on a sunny windowsill to germinate. Maintaining warm, clean water will ensure a quick sprout. If the water becomes cloudy, change it to prevent bacteria growth. You should see sprouting in about a week.

Can lotus grow in just water?
Taller lotus varieties can grow in water up to 18 inches deep, while dwarf varieties thrive in water two to twelve inches deep. Lotuses can be left in the pond during the winter as long as the tubers are protected from ice.

When should I start lotus seeds?
