Winter Freeze and Thaw, Episode 24. Also What am I growing for 2023. Long video!

Not Losing the Plot. My Allotment Diary. As the UK hits sub zero frosts and all day freezing temperatures I check on the progress of the crops I have over wintering.
I also start to consider what to grow next year. Some choices may surprise you!

  1. Great insight brian I do this planning every year but planning to what happens never happens lol.but yea I do crop rotation to a degree.
All the best brian and have a great Christmas and stay safe.

  2. Brian with the spuds you can a bag of seed spuds from wilkos for a couple of quid I grown mine in containers anythingbfrom two gallon emulsion tubs to compost bags to cut flower buckets from morrisons you get 8 for a quid.
And yes taste our does shop bought rubbish. This year iv not bought spuds in fact only just yesterday I harvested my Christmas spuds from containers from one of the greenhouses and had pounds and pounds.
Through the growing season I could say I'm nearly self cervisant just be great if I could do it all year round even whst I do grow saves so much money and so much healthier and the satisfaction of producing my own organic food.
Take care and love your vids all the 👌

  3. 10 potato buckets £30, seed potatoes cut in half when chatted, home made compost doesn’t equate to £4 for 2.5 kilos but see your point.
