  1. You just had to bring up those ' put off look away ' projects didnt cha – well, I have a good excuse today – IT's REALLY COLD & I'm ALLERGIC ☺️

  2. It seems like those pallets up against your foundation wall will create a warm, safe hallway for rodents. 🐭

  3. 🎄Marry Christmas to you and your family 🎅⛄

This is a great video ty for sharing
my animals are close house like your planning doing make it easier for you and kids in long run

  4. 🎄I Totally get being overwhelmed ! We also will be cutting back this year! Tomato

  5. Hello, my name is Kathy and I just subscribed to your channel, I also live in Idaho and also homestead on my 1 acre of land with cows, goats n chickens, I was wondering where in Idaho your family lives? We live in Mountain Home

  6. 26:40 I loved that movie and the house and shed/barn…Tasha Tudor also had a barn attached to her house. I've always thought that was such a wonderful idea for many reasons! Convenience being the main one. I'm sure I would be way more active and involved with the caretaking of the animals if they were nearby.

  7. Still love that hat. You really have a missionaries and cannibals in the canoe puzzle going with ruminants and the garden. I’m sorry to hear about the living fence though. It’s going to look way different back there for sure. I expect it will pay off in personal energies eventually.

  8. Omg!!! Did u make that hat or purchase it??? I really want one now!!! If there for sale, hit me up!! I'm in Cda I'd, so If there is a store with them I'd definitely get some!! That's awesome!! Btw… good video! Always!

  9. It's inspiring to see all the considerations you get from your feedback loops. You are the first homesteder I've heard say you have a glut of food. LOL This is a true example that in time it can be done, even on a small area.
You demonstrate a lot of design evolution. At times permaculture/homsteading comes across as make a plan then once and done. Really isnt real life.
Your response to feedback, continued observation and modifying to need and available workforce are testimony to hour decade plus skill level
Thank you for the light on the path.

  10. Those "put off and look away" rejects are due to the evolutionary mechanism of the mind. We call it, 'tired' and it was developed to save us from tasks that would expend more energy than they were worth. We needed that energy to survive then, we don't now.

So, now we must evolve our WILLS to be stronger than our mind and all its outdated programming, then force our bodies to comply…. That's the next step, it seems(that and remaining present and in the body).
