  1. For newer quilters some of the terminology used in video is misleading. Repeating 'it just takes 2 charm packs' when the quilter needs to read the instruction details to see the top is constructed from 2 charm packs PLUS close to 3 yards of material (not including boarders). Caution for all quilters to please review instructions thoroughly is always your best bet.

  2. jenny I wish you would show how you use the ruler to cut the dog ears. please I want to buy this but want to make sure I understand how to use it. thank you

  3. Thus far Wonder Clips & Bobbins. Just getting started and I find I never have enough.. will I ever? Giggle 😁

  4. Wow, I love this quilt. It looks like it would go together fairly quickly. Great job. Thanks for sharing!

  5. I love this quilt Jenny but please please upload a pdf download as I am slightly confused how it all goes together thank you

  6. What would be the yardage if you dont have charm packs but have material to do this. Thanks

  7. Hi Jenny, I really love this quilt .. will work on this…but I have a question for you…Can you figure out a quick and simple way to make a Lone Star quilt and show us on a tutorial? I would really love that! The Lone Star was my mother's favorite design, but she pieced it one diamond at a time.
Can you help? Thanks so much..Love ya and God bless you and your family.

  8. I'm very interested in quilting & have watched so many video's in the last few months.. I have a small, inexpensive sewing maching that's not quite big enough to quilt & couldn't handle the job. I've made quillo's, lap throws & a small weighted blankets through the years but nothing bigger. I've never tried quilting & desperately want to. What "starter" machine would you recommend that wouldn't cost an arm & a leg? I'm open to buying used. I really don't know anything about all the new fancy stuff. LOL

  9. My favorite quilt is Storm At Sea. I have been waiting for an easy way to make the 57 degree angle triangles. I hope these wonky legs are the prototype for a Jenny Doan style Storm At Sea pattern.

  10. HOW to FIND a LAYOUT ERROR: Take a photo before you sew things together, and post it up on one of the Facebook Quilting groups and ask for them to look it over for errors. Trust me, if you have an error someone will find it. Doing this has saved me a ton of grief down the road.

  11. Love the "swoopy" shape and how it's extended to the border. Did a quick count, there are 18 HSQ in each quadrant so 72 in total. Making 9 sets of easy 8 HSQ would be much easier and quicker than doing 36 sets of 2 at a time. 🙂

  12. I really like this quilt and would like to try it. Do you not trim the wonky legs "white" leg that is behind the "blue" leg?

  13. I would get confused laying it out. I think I would do 9 patches and do the wonky ones as a sashing

  14. So this pattern calls for 2 charm packs. They mostly come in packs of 42. The quilt needs 85 squares. I am so annoyed.

  15. Ohhhh Jenny, thanks for this one! I just love it! I have two matching 5" charm packs that I ordered from Missouri Star. They are a floral garden theme in all my favorite colors. I'm making this quilt top for a dining room tablecloth! 😋

  16. I love this quilt🙏❤️ and most of all i love your tutorials, you are such a inspiration and do the tutorials with laughter so it makes it funny too.
Quilting should be fun in my opinion, and I'm fairly new to it🙏❤️🇩🇰
