Container Gardening

South Florida Summer Container Gardening | More Planting | Zone 10b

This week I planted some broccoli and some morning glory vines, from seeds. It is a challenge to grow when your average temperature is 95 degrees. We had a few moments of cooler weather because of the rain storms, and this made it nice to work in the garden.

  1. everytime I watch your video I always say I wish I can plant too, now its summer here, I plant peppers and tomatoes. I get to grow some herbs too like peppermint! Im so happy!!

  2. Hello oh wow everything is looking so good and look at those peppers how wonderful to see everything growing. Thank you for sharing, God bless stay safe and have a wonderful day

  3. Thanks for the update. That looked like a crazy intense storm. That seems to be the trend with gardening. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are well.

  4. Nice work on this one, looks like you are spending alot of time on production, the storm shots, the radar and the music, very clean there.

  5. Awesome that you are able to continuously add new plants to your garden. Noticed a little difference today with the music and voice-over. I like that you are always trying new things on your videos. Everything looks great even with the heavy rains. We are hoping for the best with your morning glories. We had then when we moved in, but they were so invasive and insidious that they just overtook everything in the garden. I literally ad to dig and sift the entire space to capture all of the rhizomes, and even years later they still pop up out of nowhere. Hopefully they will stay contained to your fence border for you because they are nice to look at

  6. Your garden is doing well, and that tomato basil soup looked awesome. I remember that storm passing through the state. We didn't get that much rain here in Naples. Well good luck with the garden and can't wait to see all the morning glories.

  7. Nice! We're just getting ready for fall planting, even though the season has been late, our weather is starting to hint at a change and we're even getting fall season spiders starting to web (I swear they want to catch the postman). Looking forward to seeing that broccoli!

  8. I’m anxious to know if your Banana Peppers are sweet or hot. I once many years ago made Fried Rice for my office co-workers and I added Banana Peppers. OMG just handling them made my hands burn so bad and I couldn’t find any way to make the burning stop. So I threw the entire batch of Fried Rice in the garbage. I couldn’t even imagine what it would have been like to eat them. 🥵

  9. These are great ideas. We are ful-time RVers, and I really miss our garden. Container gardening might be the answer. Thanks for sharing!

  10. Hi there! I am coming over from the Art of RV'ing livestream tonight and I have liked your video and subscribed to your channel. I'm in the 9b zone == central FL == and I would love to have a veggie garden but don't know what I can grow yet. I tried green onions, carrots and tomatoes in late Spring — Got a little of each but nothing since late June. I've got more research to do, I know. I'm not giving up!! Anyway, I hope you'll visit my channel called Deb's Way and sub to me as well. Take care now!!
