Primitive Skills: extend, build an organic garden (ep 201)

Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there’s no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!
How about you? Your life is definitely different from mine.
Have fun watching the video!

  1. I don't want to but maybe I need some way to fix the problem, don't let the chickens in the garden, it will spoil my vegetables, what a pity

  2. Duong, dude what is with the thumbnail of you shaking your leg. That scar looks like it was a pretty bad accident. I thought you hurt yourself climbing a tree or something. I hope you are well and everything healed nicely.

  3. Hello friend, I have been following your videos for many years, since you added subtitles they feel much friendlier.
I live in the high mountains of Colombia and there is something we do with the fire that could help you a lot now in winter, every night when we go to sleep over the fire we pour the ash that has accumulated throughout the day, you are The ashes help keep the coals hot until the next morning, when we wake up to carefully brush the ashes away and fan the still-hot coals. I don't know if you already knew this trick, if not I hope it helps you a lot. Greetings from Colombia and I wish you a very good life.

  4. A very good start! Now you add a 2 inch layer of fully rotted compost amd cover it wit 2 inches of mulch (dead grass and old leaves are good.) THEN, when you plant, you make a hole in the mulch and compost and plant your seeds in the hole. This ensures a natural system is sustained and your garden gets more fertile each year and you can plant in the same place for decades and decades.! :-D)

  5. Just came across one of your videos from 4 years ago my God look at that beautiful shirt you have on lol you look so much stronger now and this video was when you were down to the creek selecting rocks for your foundation of your home. Thanks enjoy your videos so much

  6. Next time, don't burn the straw Next time, let it sit on top. It wil brake down anyway and instead of killing the bacteria with fire, you can feed it with straw instead

  7. Я бы хотел также но мне интересно вы купили эту территорию? Или просто там живёте и строите

  8. As fezes das galinhas é um ótimo fertilizante, pegar de onde elas dormem e colocar na horta.

  9. hi clip one wing for each chicken. then the chickens will not be able to fly. this is how we did it in europe. By the way, I admire your work and would love to come and help you with everything 😀

  10. I’ve watched every video. I appreciate your hard work. Can I make a suggestion for the garden? Use your fish as fertilizer. Either the bones or the entire fish chopped up and buried.

  11. Coucou.
    Bisous

  12. it seems you have to plant crops on the edge of the field as an embankment so that the soil in the field does not slide into the pond 😀

  16. make a compost area, keep putting there all leaves, fruit peels, weeds , egg shells and other organic material, little wood ash as well in it let bacteria and earthworm break it all down in time, and you will have ready to go fertilizer,
