Feeding goldfish and koi in our backyard garden pond

Another nice day to enjoy by the pond and feed my fish. We really love our pond, it is very therapeutic and relaxing. The big white butterfly koi is about 18 years old now!

  1. This makes me wish one of the small parks in my housing area would have one (preferably the one closest to my own house) Looks like I'm adding "build a water garden pond for people to enjoy" to my bucket list!

  2. How deep is the pond? We have a raised pond, with various "goldfish", butterfly koi, ghost koi and other fish and it is about 2.5 feet deep. Is that deep enough?
Lovely butterfly koi you have. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. The fish go dormant and do not eat from around the end of October until April when the water temperature is above 50 degrees ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. If you want to keep the heron away from the pond then keep moving the heron statue around the pond so it doesn't look like it's just there everyday. Any advice for goldfish plants for a 3 foot pond? I am going to be getting 2 shubunkins and 2 comets ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. When I pressed the video I was like where is the koi?? And then BAM I see the huge one lol! Very beautiful

  6. Your butterfly koi looks incredible! One day. One day i will have one.
