That brings back memories my grandmother had an acre that she planted every year and the whole family would work it harvest it and mason jar it up. as a we lad I remember irrigating and pulling weeds till my fingers bled lol I was having lunch at grandmas and asked for sweet pickles she said they were to expensive and said Iโll make you some I was super exited 3 months later we went out to the cucumbers and picked them all when they were 2 inches long and took them to a giant wooden barrel put them in seasoned it up and sealed it up I was pumped and asked when they would be ready she replied 6 months๐ณ I was a bit disheartened lol. 6 months later harvest time came and when all the family got there they started asking whereโs the cucumbers and grandma replied none this year someone wanted sweet picklesโฆ. They werenโt impressed so I heard it about it all through the canning process. Well finally the pickles were done and they were excellent mate๐คฉ but it took forever lol. We planted corn string beans snow peas, potatoes, beets, lettuce, tomatoes,(Roma, cherry, grape, and heirloom varieties)butternut squash, yellow squash, cucumbers, zucchini, onions, asparagus, garlic, watermelon, cantaloupe, pumpkins, and strawberries. She also had apple trees that we picked the apples, peeled sliced cooked with sugar and cinnamon to make pie filling or to put on pancakes. Those were the days and thereโs nothing better than snow peas straight off the vine and out of the pod. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and well done on the process of planting and caring for your garden. Thatโs gold for sure mate YEEEEHAAAAAAA BABY thanks for sharing see you on the next one ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Looking great Shane! I love gardening too. I typically grow tomatoes, green beans, zucchini, potatoes, lettuce, onion, and cucumbers. A lot of the vegetables from the store are grown indoors in water, that hydroponics crap, and they just have no taste. Homegrown is 100x better. ๐
