  1. This seems very nice, something I would like would be a hanging mechanism for vine and climbing plants. I lost my first attempt to grow cucumbers months ago to bugs so I like anything that helps stop that.๐ŸŒฑ

  2. Its 13 degrees Celsius here in Australia. Idk what happened to summer but I'm freezing. Maybe I should get myself some overalls after all. ๐Ÿ’–

  3. Thanks for sharing, I'll be getting myself a soil tester.
I didn't know they were so cheap. I want to plant some flowers

  4. Love your ideas . The more seeds I have the safer I feel going into the next year .there are some I haven't tried bit don't want to waste out of curiosity.

  5. Thatโ€™s a great idea thanks Jeff. Weโ€™re just into Summer here in Western Australia and itโ€™s warming up nicely. I have a question that would be nice as a Christmas present for me. What would be the best position in the garden for Horse Radish in a pot. Itโ€™s my first time growing them. Thanks Jeff and have a great Christmas to you and yours. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  6. So very true. Another great gift, a handmade certificate offering "x" amount of hours helping. My children did these for me when they were little and they were great! It is also a sneaky way of getting the newer generations involved.

  7. Excellent gift choices! Can I break from this conversation and ask a HELP, question? We are about to have something that Central Fl. rarely sees. And that is a hard freeze. I have a small greenhouse full of tomatoes, and today, I did something that I never do, and that is pruned them like crazy. Many of the plants are loaded, and the plan is to put in a heater with a fan to circulate the warm air. But, I'm wondering, should I give them a dose of liquid fertilizer today, to help them recover, and or prime them for this week ahead? Or leave them alone? This is uncharted territory for me. We grow in the "winter" which means, going to be CHILLY tonight, it's going to dip down to the 40's…NOT 20's like they are saying this week. Thanks so much!

  9. A really nice gift we gardeners can give are chili pepper plants. Even if the person you give it to doesn't like hot spicy peppers, the plants themselves make nice decorative pieces they can put in their yard. The bright red peppers, juxtaposed against the green leaves add a beautiful colorful element to any landscape.

  10. This video is so thoughtful! Loved it. Thanks for sharing your ideas so freely. Merry Christmas!

  11. A compost thermometer, especially a long stemmed one, is also a welcome gift for gardeners! Propagation tubes for someone who loves houseplants might be appreciated, and perhaps deep plug trays with domes would be great gifts as well for for the avid Gardner! Another great idea might be some really good fertilizers- something someone might want but are unwilling or unable to try because of the steep prices, AND it would make a funny story for many holidays to come!

  12. Lovely thoughtful ideas for gifts there ๐ŸŽ have a wonderful Christmas Jeff

  13. For old people gardeners like me with a bad back, my daughter got me a folding garden bench/kneeler. I can't use the kneeler feature because of knee replacement surgery, but the bench is a life and back saver. She also gave me a gardening apron and tools that came with the entire package. It's a great idea.
