  1. This really cheered me up!! Your videos are so varied and all interesting! I so wish you were my neighbor. I won’t be cooking anything anytime soon. Trying to dig out from Influenza A and pneumonia 😑 Your new finds are beautiful, good eye Kaye. I am looking forward to the parade of bundt's…😘😘

  2. beautiful finds! the cake pedestal would make a nice display with pine cones and ornaments on it and a bit of garden greenery

  3. Wow what awesome treasures you found. Just love that rooster planter/vase, the dough bowl, water pitcher and hat box. Have not been to an antique store in years so need to check them out for sure. I don't eat sweets much these days but I am sure my husband would love a pineapple upside down cake. Thanks so much for sharing your finds today and wishing you a blessed Christmas!

  4. I'm loving these thrifting videos! Thrifting is one of my favorite things to do especially on a blue day (feeling melancholy) in Wintertime. We love pineapple upside down cake! It used to be my dad's most favorite! The brown sugar and pecans with the pineapple makes it fantastic! I have a bundt pan – maybe I can do a fruit jello thingie in it to stay in the vintage feel of things! I can't resist finding and buying the old items my ancestors used. They bring such wonder and a longing for the people of the past. ❤ LOVE that book on gardening! Good find! You might like "Good Weed Bad Weed" by Jessica Walliser. She also has "Good Bug Bad Bug" which is another good one to have on the shelves. Cookies, even a deer figurine and evergreen branches on that cake stand would be beautiful, Kaye! OH, and why not put a pile of pinecones in your cracked bread bowl? I love to decorate! LOL I have a feeling, in time, you will have a yard full of chicken! (wink)

  5. I'm not sure if you're aware, but "vintage" is 50 years old, and "antique" is 100 years old or more 😉

  6. I really like cooking my pineapple upside down cake in a 10” skillet. I love using a Bundt pan to make Monkey Bread. I used to make that on Sunday for after church. Isn’t thrift shopping fun? Love to see you that your getting into that. I love the vintage pancake bowl.

  7. Love it, I used to collect antiques, vintage, etc. all the time and I sold it all when I moved from Wisconsin to Arizona, and seeing your videos now I miss it all!!!! My mom is in hospice now and in a home and soon I will have to go back to Wisconsin and go through the house with my sisters and have an auction, so I will have to take things I want and that remind me of her, it will be a pilgrimage and I will drive back so I can take some things back with me

  8. Hi Kaye
You found a lot of great things. The big sugar box I had never heard of. You are very informative.

  9. It looks like your Grandmother's bowl has been used more to feed her family. It could have been a bowl passed down to her hence the crack occurred in your antique bowl.

  10. I use my mom's old bundt cake pan to make frozen, summer treats for my chickens on those insanely hot days – full of veggie scraps & some watermelon occasionally.

  11. Your mention of bundt cake reminded me of my mom making a yellow cake cinnamon and sugar bundt cake.you have some nice relics from the pat , enjoy.

  12. More great finds! I love the batter bowl and cake stand. The cake stand looks like Jadeite. I used to collect depression glass when I was younger. My dad and I had fun going to estate sales and auctions and always found beautiful glassware. Also, I was very fortunate when I was growing up to always have fresh fruits and vegetables. If we didn’t get it from our garden, my parents would buy it. In contrast, the first time my ex-husband ever had a salad was in college. He grew up eating canned vegetables. I am so fortunate that my parents and grandparents made sure that we always had fresh food to eat. Thanks for showing us your antique mall finds. Merry Christmas and I wish you many blessings in the new year!
