Regarding the graph having no red light. If you take a perfectly white light and shine it though a stack of green leaves, the only light that makes it through is red light. Itโs just no good for photosynthesis.
My sunblaster leds are 6400k as well.. perfect light color. Mine are only 36w thoughโฆ but supposedly thatโs the same 250w incandescent. I think your trees will be very happy with the new light! ๐๐ก๐ฆ
Great video Nigel and I was blown away by your t-shirt. The more I watch these videos about indoor lighting and heeating systems thee more I am working out a devious way to kick my son out of the back room office (it used to be mine!). Cheers, Xav
Power here is kinda high in price so 125w running every day for about 12h would be about 2$ a day so realy not that bad, we are down to minus 12c or 10f here at night so my tiny biogreen frostbuster gas heater is working hard to keep grenhouse frost free so my jades dont die
Nice purchases. To filter out the debris from the catch trays, try nylon stockings. I use them on the wash machine and the 5 gallon bucket I dump my mop water in. Filters out a lot of debris. Cheap and inexpensive. Just a thought.
The reason plants look green is because they reflect green light. While that does help the aesthetic, it is not useful for growing. 6400-6500 Kelvin is a good range for plants. All my lights are set at that K. Range and intensity are determined by distance and the hood. To get more range you lose intensity and vice versa. Since your plant room doesn't need intensity, I would go for range. There is my 2min review on lighting. It can get really complex, and I have done a lot of research.

I'm a technological pygmy and I don't know which way your roof faces of course, but would solar panels help out your electricity bill? Just wondering.
