Colin Pope: Oklahoma Authors



Award winning poet, Colin Pope, talks about his time growing up in upstate New York and his educational and career journey before ending up in Oklahoma. He describes the impact of a classmate’s death on his life and how it motivated him to write what would become his collection of poems, ‘Why I Didn’t Go to Your Funeral.’ Pope discusses grief and the experience of turning one’s personal pain into art and shares advice for aspiring writers.
