  1. Our Trader Joes, here in Raleigh, has sold $10 hellebores for the past two winters. I cleaned up last year and I hope I don't miss it this year.

  2. When we first moved here in 2020 we bought a truck bed full of hellebores from someone off of Facebook Marketplace for only $100. They're the old style and a lovely mix of colors but every Winter to cheer myself up I purchase a few more named varieties. My absolute favorite is the Wedding Series Maid of Honor, it is such a gorgeous color and fades to a beautiful antique raspberry with green. I love how easy they are, I plop them in and that is the end of the care required.

  3. Hellebores are one of my most favorite perennial plants I have about 10 varieties at last count and 2 from the wedding party series. I’ll be definitely adding more this lat winter early spring as they become available in garden centers. Sorry to hear about your hosta’s, but whenever we lose a plant it’s always just opportunity to plant more. Happy gardening!

  4. For reseeding annuals try Vinca Heat Wave. They have no disease, no pest and thrive in southern heat. They come back every year by reseeding. I’ve grown vinca for years then found Vinca Heatwave.

  5. I'm here in San Antonio, Texas and there are no nurseries that sell this blooming plant so I had to order from an online vendor and won't get them untill March of 2023…bummer! Do you know why they aren't available here?
