I had expected Exs to come back miles away mostly when i first saw the sword and shield card art style because they just look so similar to the older cards
I would love it if they made the US cards also have the same foil/holo appearance as the Japanese ones do. I love opening Japanese packs because even if I don't get a "hit", their holos and reverse holos still look phenomenal. Ours look…bland and boring lol.
i agree the Silver borders look better, however is this not going to be annoying when going through all your old school big hitters with yellow borders still,.. feel like it's going to take away from some cards that we already have

I don't agree with you on the small picture vs code expansion oppinion. You don't have to remember which came first, but the pictures are so much better when sorting cards. You just go for little suns, somewhat round circle, or icy crown. Not SWIIen SWIIIen or something like that. Also, I am very attached to the picture and it hurts me it'll go away

This is what Yugioh did a few years back. Except you're guranteed at least a Super or higher every pack, while removing the regular rares.

With 3 holos they get rid of the pack weight issue.
Not a fan of the set symbol going away, but like everything else new. Can we get them to increase the font size, on the card number or am i the only one who has hard time reading it?
Much prefer the yellow borders to the silver ones. The silver is so bland and corporate looking to me. The new energy cards also look really silly. Like it's seriously laid out like

Giant type symbol

It's a little overboard. I think if it were me, I'd remove the "Basic (type) energy" text, and move the top right type symbol to the left. Everything else (outside of the price hike) sounds good to me.
Where I live it was always $4.99 in the us but maybe just not everywhere in the us most likely

Sorry to say but this set is going to crash and burn.
1. The yellow borders were a stable since the OG TCG in the 90's. I should know. I was there during the Gen1 craze.
2. Being expansion numbers instead of symbols is a bad idea.
3. Packs being that expensive? Thanks World economy.
I'm glad they did this becuase I prefer the way the Japanese cards look the silver boarder make the card look far better

I watch your content despite not playing the Pokemon TCG – I’m a Yu-Gi-Oh! player, but hearing about the Pokémon Company actually listening to its players in concerns to how to manage both the game’s image and function is making me want to make the switch. We hear NOTHING from Konami and it takes ages for them to maybe possibly respond to widespread, vocal player feedback. This makes me want to make the switch.
