So I had this idea and it took me a bit longer than expected to create but I’m pleased with how it turned out.
For this video, I used pinecones, epoxy, and copper wire.
The epoxy has been sanded to 10000 grit and finished with polish and a buff.
Let me know what you think, and if you’d buy one!

Disclaimer:
My videos are for entertainment purposes only. Some of my techniques might not be the “best” or safest, so when using any tool or machinery always read and understand safety/manufacturers guidelines first.
And Yes, I’m aware that wearing gloves while woodturning is considered an unsafe practice. The gloves I wear are tight-fitting and don’t have any loose threads. I wear them for the protection of my skin. This is a risk that I am willing to take, however I am still very conscious of the potential danger and I do not touch any spinning parts of the lathe. DO NOT copy my actions if you feel unsafe doing so.

What do you think of my Coffee cup / Travel mug? 😁👍 Does it look Christmassy? 🎅🎄
That turned out awesome! I have to admit I wondered what you were doing and how it was going to turn out when I first started watching but that turned out really pretty.
…very cool, Harry……Smith…..Harry Smith!?!?!…c'mon…what's yer real name???…😆🍻
You never fail to amaze me Harry, what a beautiful coffee mug 👍👍
Very cool coffee cup
Se. Venden?
I think it's a wonderful TEAMUG (sorry I don't drink coffee)😇
Amazing as always! 🤯 Lovely work Mr. Smith! As always God bless you and yours and thanks again for everything you do! Keep turning Sir!!
Awesome Harry!!!
Creative Love It😍😍😍😍
wooww … its amazing i love that👍
Beautiful Job, Did anyone notice that he made tea in it? DOH !!! hehehe Nice one Harry.
Yessir! Now that’s Christmas right there.
Muy habilidoso!!!! 👏👏👏👏💖💖💖💖
saw David from David's woodturning use the same approach cutting pine cones on the Bandsaw
That is a beautiful, Christmassy coffee mug.
Really smart looking cup ! Nice hand saw too.
Top notch mate.
Such a cool idea using copper to blend the steel with the rest of the piece. Funny how once one has seen something which is ‘right’, it seems obvious, but until then, one wouldn’t have thought of it! Cheers Harry.
Don't rate your copper addition.
The rain sounds so soothing. The mug is beautiful as always.
Хорошо получается, хорошее оборудование. Молодец!
Greetings Garry, I see you are busy as ever. Keep the videos coming, I really enjoy them.
I like the coffee cup but not sure on the copper wire it seems like a second thought rather than planned but what do I know lol
Great cup but the copper spoils it looks a bit messy ,the cup is beautiful.
That's a very unique coffee/tea mug, very nice indeed looks very expensive & yes I would say looks Christmassy. 🌟🌌👍
I love it 👌😁
That looks stunning. You seem to of created a 3D effect & it really draws the eye. If you made it again would you use the copper wire ? I think it looked honest & beautiful enough without that.. But personal taste. On another note. What can you tell me about your state of the art bandsaw guide fence? That looks a great bit of kit. Thanks for the video Harry.
VERY CLEVER! WELL DONE!!
Looks good. Careful of the copper wires cutting into your lip as you wear off the finish!
Harry, when you first put this piece on the lathe, I swear, I could smell the aroma of a rich pine tree freshly cut. The color is so beautiful. Amazing piece. Thank you for sharing.
Hi what's the pressure pot make and price please..? Is the paint ones the same..? Thanks great work 👍
Beautiful mug!
Looks great, not too sure about the copper wire, would have been nice to see a close up of how that looked, possibly a bit jagged.
Thank you harry you truly are an amazing artist, from one wood turner to another 👌
Very nice looking. Liked the pine cones. Where did you get the medallion with your name on it?
How about the cap for the mug?
love the mug Harry, those cones blend perfectly with the colour of the resin, stunning effect. Personally id have gone without the copper wire, although I appreciate the thought process behind it and its was well executed and like I say its a personal preference. Great project as always mate.
looks great
Проволокой все изговнял.
Зачем портил дерево, мог сразу на стакане сделать.
Awesome!!
what a great mug!
Top demais
Awesome

The color and design of the cup is very pretty, but I don’t care for the wire at the rim.
