Hello viewers. This time, I am visiting Atami Onsen. It is a contender for Japan’s Number One Onsen, challenging Kusatsu Onsen. It was an extremely popular onsen of the last century, and the preferred place to chill by legendary Japanese writers like Osamu Dazai. This town is often referred to as a miracle, as it managed to survived a harsh decline in popularity, emerging once again in modern times as one of Japan’s top vacation spots with its scenic seaside views and retro charm.
The drive towards Atami Onsen is also very beautiful. This 2D1N trip is the perfect getaway from Tokyo, and should not be missed if you are visiting Japan.
