what surprised me about the first story was that he called the police with a crazy woman with a gun in front of him Apart from the fact that he basically told her that they were going to get her to jail, it was not a very smart decision

Story 3 was so great!! Raining down π© poop. I laughed so hard. And the way it rained. I could picture them shooting the poop and laughing thier ass's off. And the poop rain down in the guts yard. Being accused of making birds sing is actually a common one. I get that, and also, I control fog horns and foxes. Of all the x-men style powers, I make things make noises.
In every state that I know of in the US, it is illegal to shoot across property lines. Even if the shot from the shotgun didn't damage anything, she could still have been arrested.

Story 2 – As usual the police are totally useless. I was robbed at gunpoint at work. Didn't bother showing up for 2 hours. Don't call the cops, defend yourself. Get a gun.

Let's see, Karen neighbor is a thief stealing OP's vegetables from OP's garden. Destroys by GUNFIRE a bird house (yeah, I'd call the Police at that point.) Trespasses on property – another reason for the Police. LOL, attacking OP in front of the Police, yeah – jail time for Karen. Hope OP also sued her for the medical care for the knife wounds. The restraining order certainly will take care of that neighbor not harming OP again, or the birds. Ahhh, you got kitty a drinking fountain. So sweet!

story 1: "it's legal for me to have this gun on my property" it sure as hell ain't legal for you to shoot it into another person's yard to destroy their property. like honestly this nut basically shot at OP and somehow expected the police to not be called???
"She graciously refused to press charges". That's not graciously, that's just dumb. She wouldn't have ruined anything and she even could have done it the next day if she was so afraid to ruin the wedding day.

Story 1: if it was in my country, she could have problems and getting a high fine just for having a loaded gun at home.
I'm going to take a controversial opinion, not defending the shooting though. Depending on what type of birds they are, and how close the houses are, op could very well be a d*** for drawing them in mass. You can go from having a few birds tweeting outside to an entire migratory colony waking you up with their cacophony. It's not Op's fault that the birds make noise, but it is Op's fault that the birds come and wake neighbors up. I used to have a neighbor with a small pond in his backyard he really liked the Canada geese. He was the absolute unequivocally most hated person in our neighborhood.
Last story wasn't completed.
Careful with the poop thing I did it with a potato gun during the winter and the frozen turd knocked the guy out after going through his window

I shot hot coffee out my nose over the dog poo story! It still burns but I can add to it.
Years ago I had a large Rottweiler that loved everyone… well almost.
My neighbor hated dogs and often insisted that because my dog was scary looking he demanded I get rid of her. Obviously I refused so he threatened to kill her himself! I asked if his hatred for dogs was worth ruining his life.
Prior to that, I kept it pretty much a secret that I was a deputy sheriff. Getting dressed at work etc.
That same evening, I came out of my house, in uniform & left for work. He was sitting on his porch & almost fell off in shock.
The following weeks, I parked my patrol car in my driveway while off duty.
From then on, all I heard from next door was crickets.
Prior to that, my dog had created her own restroom in a corner of our yard making cleaning up after her extremely simple.
However… after declaring war, she made it a point to make daily deposits in his front yard!
I swear, she was over-eating just to leave bigger piles! Too funny!
I'd let her back in with an appropriate "good dog" & she would express how happy she was to get one over on the only enemy she ever had.
After several months his wife mentioned that someone is allowing their dog to poo right outside their front door & they couldn't catch them. Then asked if I had the same problem. I said "no… my dog keeps everyone away." Then went back inside to praise my dog again.
Years later we bought a new house about half a block from a neighborhood park.
It was a steady stream of people with dogs going to & from the park. I made sure there was clean / fresh water for them 24/7.
Now I get it… animals tend to leave "deposits" where they travel but most people clean up after them.
(I'm not most people lol)
Someone made a point of not cleaning up after their dog on a daily basis. So… after tiring of cleaning it myself, I left some wadded up toilet tissue next to it!
The reactions were priceless! People would actually cross the street before & after our house to avoid it. The problem instantly stopped.
After the war with my previous neighbor, I can clean up a few truckloads before I break even enough to complain, so I'm good.
