If Germany wanted to they could make an entire Cinematic Universe about the on going atrocities the United States commits. Don’t throw stones when you live in a glass house. With that perspective I can get not wanting certain WW movies dogging on Germany anymore.

Did the film rights to Alita pass to Disney or did James Cameron retain those? In terms of plotting, the film suffered from a common problem of adaptations of long running source material—it feels the need to include iconic elements from multiple separate storylines. While the manga goes to some really interesting places, it is hard to imagine how they would adapt the next couple of phases into a feature film, especially when a good chunk of the premise was co-opted by Elysium.
They already remade Planes, Trains and Automobiles, it's called Due Date, with Zach Galifanikis and RDJ.
Some people can't afford to see all of the movies. And a lot of the critics darlings are not available in all of the theaters..or outside the US. People's choice is for the popcorn crowd and general movie goers. I don't agree with making fun of people that only saw 5 movies in the cinema in a year

It's also OK to not like Avatar. Is it well made? Yes. Is it visually stunning? Yes. I just don't care about the movie and I rewatched it in theater in September and it was fine. It's ok to not like it.

Cameron is the master of 3D cinematography and The Way of Water will prove it once and for all. The people know that his movies are worth seeing again and again
Erin.. Thank You. I can't speak for all black people. However for me, the slaves being brutalized in these movies are MY People. I don't casually watch them and then go about my day. They stay with me. Not for days. Not for weeks. FOREVER. It is a kind of trauma that I can no longer subject myself to and hope to remain a healthy person.
Can you consider the first Avatar as an animated movie? I know there are humans in it but a lot of the movie is animated, or I guess as a hybrid. If so would that make it the 4th animated film to be noninated?
