Just planted a 60' row of potatoes today. Go big or go home!! Never give up, never give in!!
Figs actually clone easy.
1 year and mine is 3 feet tall. 😉
Doug and Stacy channel saying sheriffs going after the Amish and they will come after the homesteaders/farmers/gardeners for growing…say what next folks? We live in sad times but know HE is in charge….shalom shalom from NZ…PS: do we not have to rest the land at the moment tho?
Continually improve your foxhole.
From the beginning of the current year, my husband and I decided to pick up our pace and plant as much as we can, to have more harvest because times are very difficult. We have been gardening for the past 3 years, we had many setbacks, but we kept going on and we saw a lot of good results because we simply continued to garden.
There have been several times when we are on the verge of giving up. Because it's not just gardening, there are so many things you need to take care of simultaneously.
But when you have children and especially a large family, giving up just doesn't exist.
Have courage and keep going.
As it says in the Bible, in all labor there is profit.

Going going and going. Amen to that.
Zach, something wrong with the homeschooling link.
How do you keep a fig alive through the winter? Mine all die back to the ground.
We had a beautiful garden until last week, until a groundhog has gotten in there. We have deer fence around the garden but that is not stopping him. We have tried traps, garlic, hot pepper, human hair, hunting him and we just can’t get him. Over half of our garden is gone from a single animal. Any help or recommendations are appreciated. We are willing to try anything. We can’t find his den at this time either.
Love mung beans and their sprouts.
Pinto beans are my favorite bean! We have always grew a garden and this year we are planting fall crops for the first time…Always learning!!!
When gardens fail just think about how that affected people when there was no local Walmart or even a neighbor might be a days travel away.
I don't see hardly any honey bees this year
By the sweat of your brow you will work the earth until you return to the earth. For from dust you are made and to dust you will return
Couldn’t for the life of me grow onions this year! Going to plant chalets and garlic this fall. We started from scratch this year bc we sold everything and move farther out into the woods. The slugs nearly took out our garden now we have voles. It doesn’t stop you can’t plant and then just leave it. But the work and diligence is well worth it.
Always a good message. Keep on trying.
he that endures to the end, the same shall be shall be saved. that being said, does Scripture tell us to homestead and store up or did Y’SHUA tell us “don’t worry bout your food, your clothes or anything else but, seek ye first the Kingdom of HEAVEN and all these things will be added to you.
Im replanting my okra the third time. Twice outside total fails. This time in the house in plug trays. Looks like a good germination rate so far.
Freeze dry your figs! They’re like candy!
Perfect Word of the Day…"Audacity"! Had a few challenges with the start-up this year, but, stuff is acomin' along now. Love & Blessings, Guys…Another day for Audacity! oooxxx
We had a terrible garden last year, so this year I bought some different fertilizer to try. I'm careful beggar of not trusting so many companies, age not sure what exactly is in cow manure anybody. Our garden has TAKEN OFF in the last one month, since we put in in, directing on top, abs water puts in down in. We could tell the difference almost immediatly, in 1 week. I am not affiliated in any way, just wanted to share this with my fellow brothers and sisters in Yeshuah. We watch your New to Torah channel, as we are too. So, the product is alive with nematodes, microbes, age is all natural arcs Organic. It actually FEEDS the soil, age the price was great too. It's called John and Bob's soil solutions, and we got just the BLEND. This is after elected soil, needed everything it seemed, alkali it was off the charts…I was overwhelmed age messaged this gut with details, he said this would do it, and boy was he right. Anyway, game fur the great videos, it's great to read the comments too and learn from each other. Shalom my friends. 🌻
You should have a video on cutting the root ball and planting it, since none of us know what in the world it is.
For the first time, we planted potatoes in a bag. There are flowers on it now. How does one know when to harvest? We are in Zone 6A
Listen……..
Get a livestock guardian DOG!!
Deer problems….. Gone.
Coyote problems……. Gone
Why is it you hate dogs??
They are more loyal than most people.
Word of advice. Don't buy a purebreed Great Pyrennes because they toam to far. Mine are Akbash/Great Pyrennes.
My male fought 2 coyotes at once when he was only 10 months old. He has outright killed 2 others. Hes big.
I never have empty space in my garden. As one season ends another one starts. I will continue to grow plants until frost kills them.
I think I'm probably 50 mi from you and my peppers are the best I've ever had. Tomatoes doing ok but I've had problems with rats and squirles this year. We got our first 1/2" of rain in 6 weeks a couple of days ago. But I have a small garden and can water my garden every day from my well. Without the water my garden wouldn't be doing anything.I am using the Mittleider gardening method. Or at least part of it. Plant on!
Bless you from Australia
Mmmm Hmong beans, that’s a good fermented bean sprout there
Try planting lavender all around, its a natural deer repellent, They dislike it and won't come near
Giving up is NOT an option. Yeshua's word to me was to keep going … Fall is coming soon to the Northeast and for me, thats a wonderful growing time! Keep on keep'n on!
We need a video of you splitting the fig root ball
Thanks, Zac. I just came in from the garden this morning and was so discouraged. I watched your video and your message was exactly what I needed to hear. (I also appreciate others' encouraging words!)
I've been using Azomite rock dust since last summer and even though I have TN red clay soil my plants do really well with it and thrive. We had a bad storm roll through last night and take out trees, but only took out one tomato and pulled down a few sunflowers, God is good.
It's hard work too provide for one's self.
Thank you for the encouragement! We are planting a second round of squash too. Do you plant according to moon phases? And do you rotate crops? Can you do a video on that?
I'm hearing now that the federal government are coming after Homesteaders?
Is this not the year of rest or did i not understand . Grow 7yrs then one year rest the land.
I can get some bulk tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, etc Thursday or Friday this coming week if that works for you.
Hey man off topic, but what was the name of that seed company you recommended instead of Baker Creek? Couldn't find the video you mentioned it in. Thanks in advance. Love your stuff, you're dead on, hope people are listening.
Thank you for your encouragement, I just needed that. I've been a homesteader/farmer for 15 years, the last few years I've been doing a lot on my own and that makes it extra hard.
Plant them father than 8" . In Alabama they get pretty big.
My struggle is…deer and the weather! I live in high Rockies. Greenhouse time, I guess. Will put a wood stove to keep it warm. Initial cost worth it? Yes, if we want to eat. Don't give up people, eating is the end result. Famine is here already, you may not see it yet but it will get worse. Pray and stay in Shalom
What kind of ground cover did you use for your garden?
My Cajun grandma used to make Fig preserves every year. We ate it on a biscuit 😁
What are you using for a ground cover
In your garden?
